49 Times Left, Master! (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 225
His hand touched my forehead, which felt unusually hot. My head lowered on its own.
I stared only at my disciple’s shoes. Though he preferred walking over riding in a palanquin, his shoes were remarkably clean, without a single speck of dirt.
“Did you ask to hasten our marriage because you wanted to protect me?”
“Yes. Because your disciple… …loves you.”
His words were a bit muffled in the middle. He must have meant “admires you,” right?
Slowly, my disciple’s hand fell away. The warmth vanished quickly, and now my forehead felt oddly cold—as if winter’s chill had gathered solely on my face.
Even after dying once, I still feel surges of anger whenever I see my disciple now. How can he act like this when he’s supposedly died so many times?
As I idly fiddled with my own arm, my disciple asked gently,
“Has your disciple’s consideration caused you pain?”
“Pain? No, not at all. I was just surprised—I never expected you’d suggest moving up our wedding now.”
I had considered the possibility that if trouble arose in my family, my engagement to my disciple might be broken…
“Do you dislike marrying your disciple?”
“It’s not that I dislike it—truly. It’s just… the timing feels odd.”
“If you marry your disciple and live within the palace, your disciple can protect you even if such things happen. But while you remain in the Yo family, your disciple finds it difficult to protect you.”
I tried to say thank you, but the words stuck in my throat.

Cold Male Lead Became My Clingy Husband (Female-Dominant)
Feng Bai Su transmigrated into a matriarchal novel, becoming the sister of the female protagonist and the Seventh Princess of the Feng Ling Kingdom.
After working herself to death in her previous life, finally reincarnating as a princess, she only wanted to be a lazy fish who could eat, sleep, and play.
Until she met the male protagonist from the book, Wei Jing Mo, and he took a liking to her!
Wei Jing Mo is the top young man in Feng Ling City, talented in both appearance and ability, from a prestigious family, with a cold and otherworldly appearance, a figure like the bright moon in the hearts of noble ladies. It was thought that only the most powerful and talented noble lady in Feng Ling City would be worthy of such a brilliant young man. Who knew that this young gentleman would secretly admire the infamous Seventh Princess?
Short scene 1:
Feng Bai Su looked at the young man crying like a pear blossom in the rain before her, and couldn’t help but doubt her life.
Wasn’t the male lead described as a cold and otherworldly figure in the book?
Then who was this poor little thing crying with swollen red eyes and tear-stained face?
Short scene 2:
Wei Jing Mo stared intently at Feng Bai Su who was about to go out, wanting to say, “Be careful on the road.”
Before he could speak, Feng Bai Su suddenly bent down and bit his cheek.
Her peach blossom eyes were full of disdain: “Tsk! You’re so clingy!”
Wei Jing Mo: “…”
A talented fox spirit female lead with a flirtatious appearance but actually abstinent VS A cold-looking but actually naive and clingy little jealous male lead

That’s a blessing ML is smart and the situation is probably will be resolved quickly, otherwise I would’ve rage flip because of that never ending misunderstandings.
I hoped that after main story ending they finally will stop that habit of lying in every little thing, it’s a pity I expected too much 🫠
I can understand ML’s jealousy, but really, why not to let his wifey pay her karmic debt and then live happily ever after?
