Today was kind of tough.

After attending two major classes and one general education class, I finished my tutoring center part-time job and then rushed straight into two private tutoring sessions.

It was a schedule I’d forced in to make up for the previously canceled lesson, and Na Eun once again felt the physical limit—resolving never to do this again.

Besides, today I was supposed to go not to my rented room but to my mother’s house, meaning I now had to drive for nearly an hour.

Would I really be able to drive safely with my current level of concentration?

Worried anew, I shuffled along wearily when a shadow blocking my view halted my steps.

Na Eun looked up without the slightest surprise. At the end of her gaze stood Hee Won, tilted slightly as he looked down at her.

He held out his hand.

“If you grab the wheel like that, you’re bound to hit someone. Hand over the keys.”

It was serious advice—he genuinely thought it best she not drive, given her usual driving habits.

Since everyone who’d ever ridden in her car, including her friends, said similar things, Na Eun didn’t bother arguing against the criticism of her driving skills.

Quietly handing him the car keys, Na Eun wobbled unsteadily into the passenger seat.

The moment she sat down, she reclined the seatback and flopped down comfortably. From the driver’s seat, Hee Won glanced sideways at her.

Silence blanketed the car all the way to her house.

They’d talked a lot lately, but truthfully, whenever they were together like this, silence was far more common than chatter.
