Your Former Wife (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 7
What could he be thinking about?
Sometimes her husband would look at her with eyes like that—eyes whose meaning she couldn’t decipher. Each time, Seo Yeon tried her best to gauge his intentions, but even before deciding on divorce, she’d never managed to grasp what lay hidden in his heart.
Her husband was a man of stark contrasts, one who expressed even his own emotions with clear precision. Yet somehow, she—his wife—couldn’t read even a sliver of his thoughts. It was strange. And lonely.
Just then, mid-thought, a nurse’s voice announced the treatment was finished. Stepping out into the corridor with her husband, Seo Yeon checked the time and said, worry etched in her voice:
“Are you all right?”
“What do you mean?”
“You asked to stay with me for only thirty minutes, but it’s already been a full hour. Aren’t you busy?”
Sung Jun glanced down at his wristwatch, then fixed his eyes firmly on Seo Yeon again.
“I was planning to leave shortly anyway. I’ve already called someone, so the car should arrive soon. When you go, take that one.”
It was already unusual for her husband—normally in the thick of work—to grant her request at all. Knowing just how hectic this period was for him, Seo Yeon obediently nodded.
“Understood.”
Though it pained her to let him leave without even managing a proper conversation, she couldn’t keep insisting.
But unexpectedly, silence stretched between them.
Puzzled, Seo Yeon lifted her gaze to study her husband’s expression.
His eyes, narrowed as though displeased with something, held hers intently—he’d even raised one eyebrow. She knew that look well.
It was the expression he wore whenever something rubbed him the wrong way.
She’d already agreed to go home without protest—just as he wanted—yet here he was, frowning deeply and staring at her as if utterly dissatisfied. Seo Yeon felt flustered.
“How’s your body feeling?”
Thankfully, Sung Jun shifted the topic first. Perhaps due to the brief rest, or maybe thanks to the IV, she genuinely felt better than before coming to the hospital.
Moreover, hearing him—unexpectedly—ask after her wellbeing with what sounded like genuine concern left her heart oddly stirred.
Seo Yeon gave a small nod.
“I think I’m okay. Like you said, getting the IV was a good idea. I feel much lighter now.”
Sung Jun, significantly taller than Seo Yeon, lowered his gaze and quietly observed her for a moment.
“Next time, don’t stubbornly endure it when you’re unwell—go to the hospital right away.”
Even at his nagging, Seo Yeon silently nodded again.
“I will.”
“What about the story you wanted to tell me?”
“?”
“You asked me for thirty minutes because you had something to say, didn’t you? What is it? Go ahead.”
Back in her previous life, though Seo Yeon had usually avoided Sung Jun, there had been times she’d tried initiating conversation with him.
In hopes of dispelling his misconceptions about her—and maybe, just maybe, using that talk as a chance to mend their fractured relationship, even slightly.
“You said you’re pressed for time, so make it brief—just the point. What is it? Something important?”
But whenever Sung Jun stood before her like today—cold-faced, glancing at his watch while pressing her for the “main point”—her resolve would vanish without a trace.
Instead, she’d feel the boundary drawn between them grow even sharper. Over time, Seo Yeon had become someone who couldn’t casually speak to her husband—or ever dare to cross that line.
Her expression hardened instantly.
The vague confusion, the shock, the resentment she’d felt back then—all flooded back at once.
Without realizing it, Seo Yeon straightened her face and asked firmly:
“I actually don’t have anything in particular to say—I just wanted to be with you. Is that really not allowed?”
Taken aback by Seo Yeon’s unexpected boldness, Sung Jun’s eyes widened. He even took a step backward, evading as she approached him almost provocatively.
“Is it because you’re unwell?”
After a long pause, Sung Jun murmured almost to himself. Seo Yeon slightly furrowed her brow at his words.
‘Is he asking why I’m acting so unlike myself?’
If that was the question, she had plenty to say in return.
In her past life, at the very moment she’d decided on divorce, Seo Yeon had paid off every emotional debt she felt toward Sung Jun and his family.
Within her ability, she’d granted them everything they’d wanted.
No matter how painful it was, she’d held onto the role of wife, fulfilled every duty, and even when her mother-in-law demanded she step aside, she’d withdrawn gracefully—never once asserting her own stance or stubbornness.
Of course, for Sung Jun, those past events had never happened, nor existed—but just because he didn’t know didn’t mean she wanted to live that same life again. Nor did she have any reason to.
Just then, a small child passed between the two of them.
It was a little boy, about four or five years old.
Seo Yeon’s eyes widened slightly.

Moments later, a woman—who appeared to be the boy’s mother—rushed over, grasped his tiny hand, and walked away with him.
Seo Yeon’s gaze followed them until they disappeared from view, then she slowly turned her head back toward Sung Jun.
“In the evening.”
“…?”
“In the evening—I’ll tell you then. It’s important. So if possible, please come home early.”
Sung Jun, intently studying Seo Yeon’s suddenly serious demeanor, nodded.
“Alright.”

When they arrived at the hospital parking lot, a familiar face was waiting.
“Madam, allow me to escort you.”
Park Jin Sung—a man born into the Han Kyung family and raised like a brother to Sung Jun. Moreover, the same man who’d wept bitterly before her at Sung Jun’s funeral.
Recognizing Jin Sung, Seo Yeon’s eyes widened further. Out of delight and curiosity, she bowed slightly to greet him—and his face brightened even more in response.
Sung Jun, who’d just ended a call with his secretary, approached the two and turned to Jin Sung.
“Let me know once you’ve arrived.”
“Yes. Please head in carefully, Director. I’ll ensure Madam gets home safely.”
With a nod, Sung Jun got into his car first. Jin Sung quickly moved toward Seo Yeon and opened the sedan’s door for her.
To her surprise, lively, upbeat K-pop music blared cheerfully from inside the car. It was a song she only faintly remembered by its melody.
“Oh? Why is this still playing? I’m so sorry!”
Jin Sung, apparently having forgotten he’d turned the song on, flinched in surprise and hurried to the driver’s seat to change the track.
“You don’t have to switch it—I’m fine with whatever music you enjoy. It’s cheerful and nice.”
Seo Yeon gently tried to stop him, but Jin Sung smiled warmly and replied:
“No, really—I’ve grown quite fond of classical music too, thanks to Director’s refined taste. Haha.”
He swiftly changed the selection.
Soon, a melody all too familiar to her began filling the car.
In that instant, Seo Yeon froze. It was Mozart’s *Eine kleine Nachtmusik, Romance*—a piece she deeply loved. Sung Jun had played it in his car repeatedly during their pre-wedding dates, making it especially meaningful to her.
“Thank you.”
Thanks to Jin Sung’s consideration, Seo Yeon could organize her thoughts while listening to the comforting, familiar tune.
‘How could I have forgotten it—the most important thing?’
The irony was almost laughable; she felt foolish enough to let out a hollow chuckle. Clasping her trembling hands together, she recalled the truth she must never forget again:
Today was July 1, 2020. And exactly one month from now, for the first time since marriage, she would spend a magical night with her husband.
He’d been drunk; she’d been swept up entirely in the mood—but she held not an ounce of regret for that night.
Because that night had brought an angel into Seo Yeon’s life.
Though her own carelessness had kept her from holding onto that child till the end, merely having another chance to meet them again made her heart swell with hope and beat wildly with joy.
‘I’m sorry I forgot. This time, Mommy will protect you—absolutely. My baby, I’ll show you just how beautiful this world is. I’ll make you happy. I will—I truly will do better this time.’
If nothing unforeseen occurred, in just one month’s time, she would meet that child once more.
‘But… what if everything I experienced in the past simply ceases to exist?’
Her face instantly turned pale.
In the past, she’d never accompanied her husband to the hospital—nor voiced any complaints to him.
Though logically she knew today’s events were merely coincidental changes resulting from her own choices, unease gnawed at her—what if some unforeseen variable emerged after all?
‘What if… that woman appears again? Then what?’
Before marriage, her husband had dated someone for a long time. Periodically, Seo Yeon had received messages from a woman who insisted she was that person.
At first, the woman’s claim—that she was still seeing Sung Jun—had stolen Seo Yeon’s breath and made her heart sink. Later, she grew accustomed to it.
No—“numb” would be a more accurate description, because it felt like a problem she had no power to solve.
From the start, Sung Jun had made his intentions clear: he needed her conditions to strengthen Han Kyung’s position. But after her brother’s scandal involving HanKyoung Group, her presence had become a burden to him instead.
The one silver lining was that Sung Jun clearly separated marriage from love.
Even during the period he supposedly saw that woman—and even after their relationship had deteriorated beyond repair—he’d still tried, for a long time, to preserve their marriage. So there *was* hope. Seo Yeon tightly clenched her faintly trembling hands.
‘I’ll need to ask Director Sung Jun for his cooperation.’
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
