Then, Sung Jun stated what he considered an utterly obvious fact—and without offering any explanation for his remark, he simply rechecked whether the showerhead was functioning properly.

Upon confirming that even the water pressure had fully returned to normal, he hung the showerhead back in place and said,

“If it stops working again, let me know.”

At his calm tone, Seo Yeon nodded.

“I—I will.”

Then, raising her head once more, Seo Yeon spoke in a voice so faint it was barely audible:

“Thank you, dear.”

A deep dimple formed on her cheek. Seeing that, Sung Jun found, for some reason, his feet unwilling to move away.

With great effort, he finally turned and returned to his own room. First, he stripped off his soaked clothes.

As he walked into the dressing room to pick out something to change into, he recalled the scene from the bathroom moments earlier and furrowed his brow. His dark eyes were filled with desire.

That innocent-looking white hand, wandering aimlessly here and there, seemingly unaware of the thoughts it provoked in him—

She possessed all kinds of talents for driving a man mad.

Fearing his wicked intentions would be exposed to this naive lamb, he had mustered every ounce of strength to seize and pull away her hand.

Yet the moment he saw her pure, joyful expression at his comment that the outfit suited her, he nearly lowered his face and kissed her.

Fortunately, this time he had been prepared—and so he managed to suppress the impulsive action he’d taken last time.
