It was a day when Seoyeon’s mother was bustling around to find a marriage partner. Meeting Seoyeon as she returned from work, her mother grabbed her hand and said, “I’ve found your future husband.”
It was the brightest expression Seoyeon’s mother had shown in almost a year. Seoyeon wondered who could make her mother so happy. Smiling gently as if providing an answer to Seoyeon’s curiosity, her mother asked, “Curious about who it is?”
“Yes. Who is it?”
She nodded her head, pondering.
It seemed that this time, her mother found a man who met the conditions she desired. Seoyeon was a valuable commodity in the marriage market, and she had just reached the age suitable for marriage.
How many men had she met over the past few months in the matchmaking process? During those several matchmaking sessions, Seoyeon had never seen her mother’s face so satisfied.
It was a common arranged marriage, and regardless of who the partner was, it was an unavoidable matter, so there was no need to be surprised.
Thinking so, Seoyeon gathered her resolve, but the moment she heard the name of her future husband, her mouth slightly opened. Taesungjun? Taesungjun…
“He contacted us first.”
Taesungjun was the grandson of Han Kyung Group, representing South Korea, and a promising successor. Seoyeon, to maintain composure in front of her mother, forced a casual smile, but it was unexpectedly challenging to act naturally upon hearing the name of such a formidable partner.

“He’ll be a reliable support for you and your brother. It’s a great thing, isn’t it?”
Certainly. If it was Han Kyung Group, it would undoubtedly provide a solid foundation when Seoyeon’s brother, a star detective popular nationwide, entered politics.
Her brother always said his ultimate destination was Yeouido, and her parents had always supported his choices.
Yes. For her parents and her brother, Seongjun was the perfect marriage partner.
But if she considered whether this situation was agreeable to her, the answer was ‘no.’ Higher status demanded greater responsibility. Somehow, she couldn’t erase the thought that her partner was burdensome.
On the day of the matchmaking.
Seoyeon arrived at the hotel earlier than the appointed time to wait for Seongjun. It was the most expensive hotel in South Korea. How much time had passed?
“Miss Han Seoyeon?”
Seoyeon raised her head at the low voice.
In her line of sight was an extraordinarily handsome man, as if finely sculpted, staring at her intensely.

A person with an overwhelming presence even when silent. That was the first thought that came to Seoyeon’s mind when she saw him. Seongjun raised his wrist to glance at his watch.
“You came earlier than the agreed time.”
Slightly tilting his head, Seongjun, looking down at her, asked, “Did I get the appointment time wrong?”
Seoyeon repeatedly expressed her hope to somehow conclude the matchmaking. She chose to come to the meeting place early and sit alone rather than dealing with her mother, who burdened her with the expectation that she wished for the matchmaking to be successful. Without mentioning that she found it better to be alone, she nodded with her head held high.
“No, I came early.”
Upon hearing Seoyeon’s response, Seongjun extended his hand.
“I see. I’m Taesungjun.”
Seoyeon cautiously took Seongjun’s hand. His large and manly hand firmly enveloped Seoyeon’s hand.
Without releasing Seoyeon’s hand, Seongjun spoke.
“It’s been a while.”
Seoyeon’s eyes narrowed.

“Six months ago, you went to Busan, right?”
“Yes. I had a piano concert.”
“I was there.”
“How…?”
Seoyeon’s bewildered reaction seemed to be the expected response as Seongjun smiled slyly.
“I had a business meeting scheduled, so I went down and happened to hear about the concert. The conductor was a fellow alum.”
Though enough time had passed, Seongjun still hadn’t let go of Seoyeon’s hand. He held it, staring intently into Seoyeon’s eyes.
“Is that so?”
Seoyeon felt her heart trembling somehow. Whether it was because of the commanding and sensual gaze of this man overflowing with dignity, or because of his large hand still holding hers, she couldn’t determine.
Seongjun, who looked at people so penetratingly, and a man who didn’t let go of her hand were both entirely new to Seoyeon.

Subtly withdrawing her hand, Seoyeon took a step back.
Holding her hand would make her nervous, as if her heart would burst. Seongjun, who seemed to understand that, momentarily diverted his gaze from Seoyeon and calmly took his seat.
For some reason, Seoyeon felt awkward, having unintentionally turned down Seongjun. Suddenly, she stared at him while asking about the familiar melody digging into her ears.
“Do you like Chopin?”
“I always enjoy Chopin.”
It was a question to ease the awkward atmosphere, and Seongjun took the story Seoyeon presented and led the conversation on the topic of music. For Seoyeon, majoring in piano, it was a naturally familiar and enjoyable subject.
‘I was worried about what to talk about…’
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
Notes:
1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.
