When he’d lost his memory, his very voice had been different—slightly higher-pitched and refreshingly clear. But now, though he was calling her “Seon Ah” and speaking politely, his voice remained the same deep, low tone it had always been.

The moment she realized what was happening, her heart crumbled.

The man who’d once bluntly told her, “I love you, but I can’t act like an eighteen-year-old,”

who’d said he could buy her a house, a car, or even an entire department store—but could never bring himself to call her “Seon Ah,”
