The CEO, who had been on sick leave for over a month, suddenly appeared at the company. The security team, who had been investigating through the night, went into maximum alert.

“I heard there was a leak of internal documents. Who’s responsible?”

“A female employee from the planning team. We’re still investigating…”

Before the visibly tense head of security could even finish his explanation, Kwon Seung Joo spoke.

“I was the one who accessed those documents.”

“Sir?”

Right in front of the bewildered security team leader, the CEO opened the laptop he’d brought and personally logged in using employee Yoon Eun Seo’s ID and password.

“As you know, I’ve been recuperating out of town, so I had no choice but to temporarily borrow an employee’s credentials for work-related reasons.”

The security team leader gaped like a fish. He didn’t dare ask outright, but it was written all over his face:

‘Why use a mere employee’s email when you’ve got your own perfectly functional CEO account?’

Not only that—if he’d wanted to view documents remotely, he could’ve just instructed the secretary’s office, and they would’ve sent them immediately.

Kwon Seung Joo, his expression utterly unchanged, replied calmly,

“While I was recuperating, I wanted to focus solely on my recovery. I was afraid that if I logged in using my own account, headquarters might figure out my location.”

“Ahh…” Everyone, including the security team leader, instantly understood. Though officially on medical leave, it was an open secret that the CEO had gone completely off the grid—even cutting contact with his own secretarial office.

So, it made sense that instead of instructing his secretaries, he’d deliberately contacted a low-ranking employee.
