Madam Yoon, wife of the Tae Sung Group chairman and Ye Jin’s mother, was sitting alone in a tearoom set up at a hanbok shop, unable to stay still from anxiety.

She had come out after receiving a call earlier from Kang Hye Sun’s secretary, asking to meet, but now that she was actually about to see her face-to-face, she couldn’t help but feel nervous.

The last time they’d met was at the Baekhap Society gathering when Seung Hyun and Ye Jin were distributing their wedding invitations.

Now, she was in a situation where she would soon become in-laws with that woman and they’d have to stand side by side this very weekend, smiling warmly as they lit the wedding candles together. Of course, having Ji Yeon Hwa as an in-law would’ve been a hundred times worse, but dealing with Kang Hye Sun was still undeniably awkward—especially since she herself had been in the wrong, and thus had no face to show Hye Sun.

‘Could she be bringing up that incident again?’

So nervous her throat had gone completely dry, Madam Yoon kept gulping down tea.

A short while later, Kang Hye Sun arrived and opened with these words:

“Unnie!”

Both women had originally been daughters of wealthy families and had known each other since childhood. Hye Sun had always addressed Madam Yoon as “Unnie” and looked up to her, and Madam Yoon had adored the younger Hye Sun. Though their age gap—over ten years—meant they weren’t especially close, they’d occasionally exchanged greetings even up until just before Hye Sun’s disappearance.

After everything that had happened recently, Madam Yoon never imagined they could ever return to their former friendly relationship—but the moment she saw her, Hye Sun called her “Unnie.” Madam Yoon nearly burst into tears from sheer relief.

Hye Sun treated Madam Yoon warmly, as if they’d never argued:

“You probably already know, Unnie, but due to various circumstances, I’ll be sitting in the honju seat. We need to get me a honju hanbok, and I thought it’d be nice if mine matched yours, so I came to see you.”
