“Could that man be the landlord?”
Eunseo realized her spontaneous thought about the man who unexpectedly visited her home was correct during her final interview at the company she applied to at the end of that year.
The man was sitting among the interviewers with a nameplate that read ‘CEO Kwon Seungju.’ It was the very same name written on Eunseo’s lease contract.
His face was unforgettable. Eunseo recognized him immediately, but he didn’t seem to remember her. There was no indication during the interview, and the same was true after she was hired and started working.
Even though there was no interaction between the CEO and a regular employee, it was impossible not to have seen each other in the same building for two years. They had crossed paths several times, and had even been in the elevator together, just the two of them, on three occasions.
The conversation they had in those moments was exactly the same all three times.
“Hello, CEO.”
“Thank you for your hard work.”
The fragile expression he had that night was nowhere to be seen. He was like a person without a single gap to insert a needle. That was CEO Kwon Seungju.
So, Eunseo thought he probably didn’t recognize her. After all, he was intoxicated that night.

There was no reason to remind him of their encounter. There was no need to reveal herself as a tenant either.
Apart from the unspoken affection she secretly harbored from a distance, they were merely CEO and a junior employee, or a landlord and a tenant, nothing more.
“But why?”
Eunseo’s mind was troubled as she looked at the man lying on the hospital bed, seemingly lifeless.
Kwon Seungju had clearly noticed the car rushing onto the sidewalk in time to avoid it. But instead of moving out of the way, he had pushed Eunseo aside and taken the hit himself.
Fortunately, someone passing by quickly called for help. An ambulance arrived soon after, and Kwon Seungju was taken to a nearby hospital. Eunseo followed to the hospital in a daze.
Luckily, he had fallen onto a pile of leaves collected by a street cleaner. Although he had severe bruises, fortunately, there were no broken bones.
While Kwon Seungju was unconscious and receiving medical attention, Eunseo explained in detail to the police what she had seen. According to them, the driver was being interrogated at the station, claiming a sudden acceleration of the car.
She should have contacted his family, but she didn’t know how. Reluctantly, she searched the company messenger and called his secretary. She hesitated to contact on a personal phone on a holiday, but the situation demanded it.
“I’m Yoon Eunseo from the planning team. CEO has been involved in a traffic accident.”

Soon, a pale-faced secretary rushed to the hospital. Eunseo explained the circumstances of the accident in as much detail as she could.
She had come to the company briefly on the weekend, saw the CEO standing by the roadside, and was greeting him when she witnessed the accident.
“Understood.”
However, she couldn’t bring herself to say that he had pushed her out of the way and taken the hit himself. It seemed unlikely anyone would believe it.
[Star Icon]Eunseo happened to be there by chance at the moment of the accident, but she was neither family nor friend to Kwon Seungju. Once the secretary arrived and she had relayed what she witnessed, there was no reason for her to stay. After giving her statement, she immediately went home.
Back home, it was already late at night, but she couldn’t sleep. Her mind was filled with thoughts of why he had acted that way.
‘Did he feel a bit guilty towards me?’
She shook her head immediately. It was improbable for a man like him, who would risk his life out of sympathy.
No matter how much she thought about it, there was no reason for Kwon Seungju to harbor any goodwill towards her, especially not to the extent of risking his life.
After much contemplation, Eunseo concluded that what happened was just a reflex action in a desperate situation. Would it have been the same if it had been someone else next to him, not Eunseo?
‘Does acting instinctively mean he’s not really a bad person…?’

As soon as she thought this, Kwon Seungju’s cold voice echoed in her ears.
“He must be dead.”
Ah, she didn’t know anymore. Eunseo buried herself in her blankets.
[Star Icon]Regardless of the reason, it was a fact that Eunseo owed Kwon Seungju a debt of gratitude. If he hadn’t thrown himself into the path of the car, it would have been Eunseo lying in the hospital right now.
The next day was Monday. Unable to ignore what happened, Eunseo bought a box of juice and headed to the hospital early in the morning to visit before work.
“You’re a human being?”
How was she supposed to greet the person she had yelled at so vehemently yesterday? Pondering this, she arrived at the hospital, only to find that he was still unconscious.
“What? He hasn’t woken up yet?”
The secretary nodded, her face grim.
“I thought there were no major injuries other than bruises?”
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
