Boom boom!

At the sound of heavy footsteps outside the door, Calon and Nisha exchanged glances.

They were on the fifth floor of the Ash Company building—a floor strictly off-limits to anyone without proper authorization.

There was only one person who could possibly make that kind of noise in such a place.

Bang bang bang!

Before the deafening knocks—more like someone trying to break the door down than knock—had even fully faded, the door swung open, and the source of the footsteps strode in.

“I’ve arrived…! Ugh!”

Ino stumbled backward as a stack of documents hit him square in the face.

“You idiot! Can’t you walk in quietly for once?”

Nisha, whose temper had been sharpened to a razor’s edge by days of overtime, had just hurled the papers straight at his face.

“What’s gotten into you? Normally, you’d dodge that with that annoying smirk of yours.”

Calon, watching the scene unfold, spoke in a flat, indifferent tone.

All three of them—Calon himself, Nisha, and Ino—had received enough training to protect themselves. Among them, Ino was one of the employees most specialized in that area.

Back at headquarters, he’d even served as Calon’s personal bodyguard.

Yet here he was, not only announcing his presence so recklessly but also failing to dodge Nisha’s thrown papers and taking the full hit.
