“Die! Die!”

Calon kicked the stomach of the attacker who charged at him with a roar.

The emaciated body flew like straw from his kick, rolled over the shattered deck, and slammed into a corner.

Around him already lay his fallen comrades—and even parts that had once belonged to them.

Ordinarily, anyone witnessing such a gruesome scene would scream, be paralyzed by fear, or at the very least burn with rage.

But the soldier who had collapsed rose again, his clearly broken arm dangling limply, his face blank and vacant.

“Damn Golden Law.”

Calon spat at the sight.

During his travels through the southern regions, he’d occasionally encountered people like this.

Stripped entirely of the fear and pain they should rightfully feel, reduced to mere machines built solely for slaughter.

Without hesitation, Calon slashed the throat of the next attacker who lunged at him.

The man was already so grievously wounded that survival would have been nearly impossible.

In that case, sending him swiftly to death was the kindest thing for both of them.

Kicking aside the collapsing body and shoving it into a corner, Calon wiped the blood splattered on his face and looked over the fallen.

Among them were people from Ash Trading Company who had come with him.
