It had been a week since Aelfrie started working at Ash Corp. Her complexion had improved and she had gained some weight, but her wrists still looked like scrawny twigs.

Nonetheless, her mopping was more diligent than that of professionals specialized in cleaning. Nisha found that lamentable.

“The mansion has so many damaged areas that we’ll need to do more repairs. When I went upstairs to check, the room where the young lady stays is more like… a storage room would be a better fit,” said the laborer who had been called to repair Aelfrie’s house.

He shook his head when asked about the condition of the house. It was so poorly managed that it would be better to demolish and rebuild it.

At least the inside of the building was well-kept, with the hallways and stairs in very good condition; the maid must be doing an excellent job, he said.

‘It must be Aelfrie who is taking care of that too.’

Nisha had enough experience to manage a branch. Judging a person’s work ethic was not difficult for her.

Therefore, she immediately recognized that Aelfrie was a very meticulous and diligent worker.

Unaware that Nisha was pitying her, Aelfrie continued to move her body.

In fact, Aelfrie didn’t need to be there.

As Kyle had said when she first came, it would have been more helpful for Ash Corp if she deciphered another document.

Aelfrie recalled the moment she regained consciousness.

When she woke up to the seawater coming through the balcony railing, the harbor was already in chaos.

Having barely tidied things up, I stepped outside to find people swarming to clean. Seeing this, Aelfrie also found some cleaning tools to join them.

I couldn’t tell anyone, but this strange incident felt somehow caused by me.

‘Even when I was home, the light flashed and the wind blew. This time was no different.’

Of course, the scale had grown incomparably larger.

While helping to clean, Aelfrie asked others if they had seen the light flash. However, no one had seen any light.
