“Do you happen to use social media?”

She seemed to be making an effort to find some common ground.

“No, I don’t. How about you, Yeon Ju?”

“Since I’m in China, I use it quite often—I’m curious about my friends’ updates and Korean news too. Sometimes, scrolling through it, I can’t even tell if I’m in Korea or China.”

While speaking, Yeon Ju picked up her phone again to check social media.

“Wow!”

She let out a small exclamation, eyes glued to her phone as if she’d just discovered something.

“Do you know H.O Group? There’s someone named Ho So Min there. She’s really popular on social media as a luxury heiress.”

“Oh, really?”

When So Min’s name came up, Mi Joo carefully avoided overreacting.

“Most chaebol daughters don’t really use social media, but she posts consistently and has huge popularity. She’s surprisingly down-to-earth for a fourth-generation chaebol.”

“It could all be a manufactured image.”

“That’s possible. But she also donates frequently, volunteers, and even helps find abandoned dogs.”

Mi Joo looked at Yeon Ju’s phone, disbelief written all over her face.
