“Then, what about the planner listed here—Ms. Choi Mi Joo?”

“I also met her for the first time that day. She was recommended by writer Choi Su Young, who said he wanted to work with her.”

“Manager Yoon, you’d never seen her before either? And yet you thought collaboration would be possible?”

“Yes. After talking with her, I realized that although she’d never organized an exhibition before, she understood Choi Su Young’s work well and had solid promotional ideas.”

Manager Yoon guessed what the director was worried about, but since his first impression of Mi Joo hadn’t been bad, he explained things as they were.

“I’d like to hear more about what you thought of that planner.”

Si Yoon felt he’d asked something he shouldn’t have. It wasn’t that he feared hearing negative remarks about her from Manager Yoon.

Rather, he regretted asking because he imagined how awkward Manager Yoon might feel later, once he found out Mi Joo was Si Yoon’s woman.

But Manager Yoon answered Si Yoon’s question without hesitation.

“She was calm yet proactive.”

It was a satisfying answer. Si Yoon smiled faintly and considered ending the conversation there, but wanting to hear more, he looked at Manager Yoon expectantly.

“She was also humble.”

“In what way did you feel that?”

Seeing Si Yoon leap onto the answer with evident interest, Manager Yoon judged this humility to be the key factor that could make the planned exhibition successful, and continued speaking freely about the planner.

“He did have Su Young’s recommendation, but he admitted his own lack of experience, saying it was his first time and asking for a lot of guidance. Of course, one might say that’s just politeness, but to me, it felt genuine.”
