While Si Yoon was taking a shower, Mi Joo was preparing breakfast.

Toast, grilled bacon, and fried eggs were the simple menu that came to Mi Joo’s mind. But upon discovering various ingredients in the refrigerator, she began to wonder how exactly to cook them.

“These are cheeses I’ve never seen before. I’m fine with just instant food—but how am I supposed to cook something like this?”

She had encountered diverse ingredients during her time studying abroad, yet these high-end items always left her puzzled.

Thinking she should meet the ajumeoni who stocked Si Yoon’s fridge to better understand his tastes, she picked up her phone and searched for the ingredients.

“How do you even eat this?”

Mi Joo, muttering to herself, froze mid-motion, her body stiffening.

At the top of the portal platform, the words “Tae Han Foundation” appeared. Should she have avoided clicking it? But Mi Joo had already tapped it with her fingertip and rapidly scrolled through the article.

Si Yoon, having just finished his shower, entered the kitchen wearing only a towel. Water droplets still clinging to his hair trickled down his neck and chest.

“You’re already up? I was going to make the toast myself. Smells great.”

He wrapped his arms around Mi Joo, who stood before the toaster, and spoke. Only then did Mi Joo snap out of her trance, putting down her phone and taking the toast out of the toaster to place it on a plate.

With his face buried in Mi Joo’s neck, Si Yoon murmured,

“What were you thinking about?”

Mi Joo turned as if nothing had happened and hugged Si Yoon around the waist.

“Hurry up and get dressed. We’re going to be late.”
