“Director!”

Hearing the cheerful Korean voice, Byung Joon turned his head toward the source of the sound.

So Min, with her hair dyed in the latest trendy color and styled to perfection, dressed from head to toe in luxury brands including her bag and accessories, was walking toward Byung Joon with an unexpectedly surprised expression.

“Oh my, oh my! To bump into you here of all places! You should definitely buy a lottery ticket today, Director.”

There couldn’t be anything more delightful than meeting someone you know by chance in a distant foreign land, yet her wide-eyed, startled look and the way she covered her mouth while exclaiming “Oh my, oh my!” came across as overly dramatic to anyone watching.

“Ho So Min?”

To Byung Joon, So Min looked even prettier than before. Of course, he, being a man, had no way of knowing that her enhanced beauty was the result of advanced cosmetic procedures. Regardless, though her appearance had changed slightly, her voice, speech patterns, and mannerisms remained unmistakably So Min.

“No matter how vast the land may be, places where Class A people gather are limited. Seeing you here proves that point.”

This loud and excitable woman was the great-granddaughter of the founder and chairman of H.O. Group. True to the stereotype of a chaebol heiress, she never held back and, with her free-spirited personality, had been attending elite social gatherings and parties since childhood, making both her name and face widely recognized.

Byung Joon also felt a surge of excitement at this unexpected encounter.

“What brings the fourth-generation heir of H.O. Group all the way here?”

Though this meeting was surprising for both of them, bumping into each other in a luxury bar during broad daylight hinted at the similarity in their personalities and lifestyles. So Min took a seat right in front of Byung Joon.

“After finishing grad school, my family’s been making such a fuss about me coming home. If I’d known this would happen, I should’ve just stayed on indefinite leave and camped out instead.”

“You’ve already graduated, So Min?”

At the word “already,” So Min nervously touched her face, wondering if she perhaps looked older than she actually was. Though she was already undeniably beautiful, So Min’s vanity knew no bounds.
