“Let go! This is assault!”

Byung Joon barely managed to bluster in a terrified voice.

“You see the CCTV right by the door. You were the one who started the violence, Uncle. And this is just self-defense.”

Having assessed the situation, Byung Joon glanced quickly at the CCTV, then raised his hand and pretended to have been hit—even though no one had actually struck him.

“Oh my! This kid actually hit me!”

Even though the CCTV didn’t pick up sound anyway, he added an absurd cry for good measure.

“Do you really think the police would side with a tourist who threw a water cup and threatened someone with permanent residency? Consider this a warning—don’t you dare lay even a fingertip on me. I won’t tolerate it.”

Only then did Byung Joon realize his clumsy act was utterly useless.

“Alright, I get it—just let go of me already!”

Si Yoon lifted Byung Joon even higher for a moment before releasing him. The recoil from Byung Joon’s frantic struggle to escape sent him tumbling backward onto the floor with a thud.

“Listen carefully—you won’t be getting either the artwork or the foundation.”

Byung Joon, fallen backward, groaned as he pressed a hand to his lower back and struggled back to his feet.

“No matter what, Father said he’d entrust the new cultural foundation specifically to me. Whom is a parent closer to—their child or their grandchild?”

“This isn’t about closeness. It’s about capability—whether you can handle it or not.”
