Chairman Kim’s eyes reddened too, but years of experience allowed him to hold back his tears.
During the continued conversation with Mijoo, Chairman Kim kept smiling and clinking wine glasses with her. Siyun was anxious each time.
“Grandfather, Mijoo is weak with alcohol.”
“If she can’t handle her drink, carry her. You’re not too weak for that, are you!”
Mijoo knew her limit and thought about stopping, but the glasses kept coming. Even just touching them to her lips brought a dizzying alcohol haze.
The city lights and candles on the table flickered before her, enhancing her tipsiness.
“I wish you two would move to Seoul soon.”
Mijoo smiled broadly at Chairman Kim’s casual comment. To him, it seemed like an affirmative response.
Chairman Kim became more excited by Mijoo’s smile.
“I’d love to see great-grandchildren soon, whether boys or girls.”

Siyun reacted in shock.
“Grandfather!”
“What? You’re not the one giving birth, Mijoo is. I know it’s hard for her, but I want to see my great-grandchildren before I die.”
Despite being in good health, Chairman Kim couldn’t help but express his inner feelings in front of his young grandchild.
“We’ve just gotten married.”
“Yes. I left marriage up to you. I said I’d accept whoever you brought.”
“And you’re satisfied.”
Siyun looked at Mijoo.
Mijoo, sitting upright and only looking at Chairman Kim, seemed vulnerable. Just like the time at the resort when she bravely emptied half a bottle of wine. Siyun reached under the table and took Mijoo’s hand. Her slender fingers wrapped gently around the back of his hand.
‘She’s not pushing my hand away, so she must be tipsy.’

Siyun sighed softly and massaged Mijoo’s hand to sober her up.
Suddenly, Mijoo covered her mouth as if holding back laughter, then burst out laughing. Siyun and Chairman Kim looked at each other, puzzled by her sudden laughter.
“Siyun keeps tickling me from below.”
A moment of silence fell on Chairman Kim’s face, then he burst into hearty laughter.
Siyun, trying to clear up any misunderstanding, lifted the hand he was holding with Mijoo to show everyone.
“No, I was just massaging her hand to sober her up. The alcohol.”
“Boy, who said anything to you?” chuckled Grandfather, amused by the couple’s evident bond.
“It’s great to see you two so close. Let’s see our great-grandchild soon.”
Siyun knew arguing with Grandfather would be futile. Instead, Chairman Kim turned to Mijoo, and she just smiled in response. Even that smile was enough to satisfy the chairman.
Siyun worried if Mijoo realized what she had just agreed to.
Mijoo, holding Siyun’s hand, looked down at it. Then, gently, she interlocked her fingers with his. Siyun felt a jolt of electricity surge through his body.

‘She must be quite drunk.’
Mijoo continued her playful attack, wriggling her fingers between his and tickling his hand.
Siyun, baffled but unwilling to let go of the thrilling sensation, tried to wrap up the dinner.
“Grandfather, it’s time for you to rest.”
“I’ve rested enough in the past three days.”
When Grandfather didn’t bite, Siyun looked at Mijoo.
Finally, understanding Siyun’s intention, Chairman Kim chuckled and put down his napkin.
“You had a glass of wine, didn’t you?”
“No.”
“Stay the night then.”

“What?”
“If you’re not in a hurry, do it.”
Grandfather waited for Mijoo’s response.
“Yes. Thank you.”
Siyun’s mind was a whirl of thoughts as Mijoo unflinchingly accepted the situation.
Once Mijoo agreed, Chairman Kim caught the manager’s eye and requested a suite room in fluent English.
“Wait for your card. I’ll go rest now.”
Chairman Kim stood up, declaring his sudden tiredness.
Siyun stood up, and Mijoo, still interlocked with him, followed.
As they stood hand in hand, Grandfather smiled warmly at them.

“I’ll see you to your room.”
“Don’t bother,” Grandfather replied sternly.
Siyun nodded in understanding.
“The breakfast here is good. Take your time in the morning.”
“Have breakfast with us.”
“I’m up at dawn. You newlyweds, who knows when you’ll wake up. No need.”
With a simple gesture, Chairman Kim bid farewell and left, with Siyun and Mijoo standing until he exited the restaurant.
Soon after, a waiter brought Siyun the suite room card.
Holding the card in one hand and Mijoo’s hand in the other, Siyun looked intensely at her.
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
