Siyun watched her go, then stepped back into the pool.
Splash.
After a clumsy yet tense honeymoon of three days, Siyun and Mijoo returned to Siyun’s house.
They expected to find Chairman Kim, Siyun’s grandfather, at the house, but he was nowhere to be seen.
Mijoo looked at Siyun, bewildered.
“Did he step out for a while?”
“Maybe.”
The house was immaculate, showing no signs of Chairman Kim’s presence. He could have had someone clean in anticipation of their arrival.
But there were no signs of him in the guest room, no bags or clothes.
“Maybe he didn’t come?”

Mijoo asked, worried.
“No, he said he was near the house when we talked a few days ago.”
Siyun nervously took out his phone and dialed a number.
Mijoo watched him, waiting for the call to be answered. After a few rings:
“Hello?”
Thankfully, Chairman Kim’s clear voice reached Mijoo through Siyun’s phone.
“Grandfather, where are you?”
“Why did you say you were coming home but are at the residence instead?”
As Siyun mentioned the residence, Mijoo also felt relieved.
“That’s what happens when you suddenly show up without notice.”

Judging by their banter, both Chairman Kim and Siyun seemed relieved to know each other’s well-being and location.
“We just got home. I’ll come to pick you up.”
“Dinner?”
Chairman Kim spoke his piece and quickly ended the call.
“Grandfather! Ah, he hung up first again.”
Siyun shook his phone lightly, feeling unfairly treated by his grandfather yet again.
To Mijoo, Siyun’s familiar and whiny demeanor with his grandfather seemed enviable.
That’s what family is like.
“Grandfather invited us for dinner.”
Siyun spoke plainly, losing his playful demeanor and looking around the house. Mijoo followed his gaze.

In a corner of the living room, their wedding ceremony photos hung in a large frame.
And there were pink items everywhere – a pink pen, pink tablet, pink stand, among other pink decorations and accessories.
“Pfft.”
Mijoo burst into laughter. Siyun turned to her, puzzled, and she held up the pink pen.
“Did you think I would use this? You put it here for me?”
Siyun also smiled upon seeing it.
“That must be Deni’s doing.”
“Mr. Kim, the lawyer, misjudged. Who likes such pink? Maybe a five-year-old.”
“Not really.”
Siyun’s expression was very serious.

“I don’t like these colors…….”
Before Mijoo could finish, she noticed the corners of Siyun’s mouth rising.
“Mijoo, your words and actions are so different.”
Siyun approached Mijoo, who seemed slightly tense.
“You might be wearing pink now.”
Siyun stood in front of her, arms crossed.
Thinking about it, Mijoo realized she had put on pink underwear again today. She quickly grabbed a pink cushion.
“You didn’t tell Deni that my preference is pink, did you?”
“Why would I tell someone else about your preferences?”
“Then why are half of my underwear pink?”

Mijoo hadn’t deliberately worn pink today. She had just grabbed whatever was at hand.
“The shopper knows my taste well.”
Mijoo was even more astonished.
“So, your shopper knows you like pink women’s underwear?”
“They are professionals, after all.”
Siyun’s nonchalant reply was infuriating.
“Can I come closer to you now, Siyun?”
A signal for contact? Surprised by her unexpected remark, Siyun nodded.
Mijoo rushed over and pinched Siyun’s cheeks, shaking them back and forth.
“Stop always teasing me!”

After shaking his cheeks a few more times, Mijoo let go.
“Are you done?”
Siyun’s expression hardened slightly, looking almost scary.
“Are you mad?”
“No, but since you touched me, I might touch Mijoo as well.”
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
