As if disliking Miju’s reaction, Siyun’s eyebrow lifted sharply as he approached Miju in front of the door.
“If you come to Seoul, someone to meet…”
Siyun extended his words as if urging her to respond quickly.
“When did you arrive?”
“Without hearing anyone coming, was it someone quite welcome?”
Siyun was curious and concerned about the person Miju mentioned.
“It’s Writer Choe Sooyoung.”
Miju openly revealed her conversation partner. However, Siyun’s expression became firm, and he, as if frustrated, lightly shook his tie, loosening it, and unbuttoned one of his shirt buttons.
Approaching Siyun, Miju displayed a broad smile to the tense Siyun.
“I’ve had good news.”

However, Siyun looked at Miju without uttering a word.
“My manuscript for the art fair was accepted. I made it to the finals. It’s my first success in social life.”
With an excited voice, Miju shared the recognition of her efforts and abilities.
“I should congratulate you.”
With those words, Siyun pulled Miju closer and kissed her lips. A brief, slow kiss followed. Miju, closing her eyes, couldn’t believe she was experiencing such a sweet celebration.
However, the celebration didn’t last long. As their lips parted, Siyun looked at Miju with a cold gaze. In the face of Siyun’s reaction, a sudden feeling of disappointment settled in Miju’s heart.
“Did you get mad because of the call with Writer Sooyoung?”
Siyun expressed his emotions in silence without answering.
“You’re mad.”
Miju, feeling hurt by Siyun’s lack of acknowledgment, tried to remove Siyun’s hand wrapped around her waist. However, Siyun’s hand didn’t let go.

“You were like this in the morning. Whatever happens, tell me first.”
‘Ah… he’s mad because I told Writer Sooyoung about the good news before Siyun.’
Miju realized her small mistake.
“At the time, I received an email…”
At her words, Siyun’s grip tightened, pulling Miju even closer. Desire lingered in his fingertips, and jealousy flowed in his gaze.
“You said we wouldn’t meet in the future, but you email and call, promise to meet when you come to Seoul!”
“…How many times have we met that it’s so special!”
“I don’t have many close friends.”
As a working professional, Siyun knew about the natural human relationships. Yet, even at this moment, Miju and her contacts made him feel uncomfortable.
Although it might be just a congratulatory email or a polite call and a simple expression of “let’s meet sometime,” the anger and tantrums over such trivial matters were incomprehensible to Siyun. However, explaining or resolving his anger was not possible.

“You know he’s not a bad person, Siyun. He’s a good person.”
Knowing he’s a good person makes it worse. One good person by Miju’s side is enough for Siyun.
“It wasn’t about the stars.”
The woman in front of me, Miju, was the one making me sensitive.
‘Telling me not to worry when she’s shaking me like this. Sigh.’
Miju was making eye contact with me with an expression urging me to release my anger. If I get angrier, I feel like I’m becoming a narrow-minded person, but if I pretend not to know, the rising jealousy becomes unbearable.
‘Jealousy?’
That’s right. It was jealousy. It was an emotion that I always considered trivial whenever people talked about jealousy. But now, it was because of this woman that I was feeling jealous.
Emotions felt through this woman, unfamiliar and overwhelming, were hard to handle.
However, Siyun wanted this Miju, who made him sensitive and restless, even more. She was a woman who made him thirsty even when he had her. Siyun lowered his head and bit Miju’s lips.
Miju, who didn’t expect the tension from Siyun to turn into a kiss, jerked back, surprised. However, Siyun wrapped Miju’s neck, pulling her towards him.

“Don’t run away.”
Siyun’s voice became gentle as if trying to open Miju’s firmly closed lips. However, Miju’s lips did not open.
‘Does this woman not know that even such a small act of rebellion makes me crazy? Or is she doing this knowingly?’
Siyun became more intoxicated by Miju’s actions, provoking him and making him feel more unpredictable today.
He raised his hand and lightly held Miju’s cheeks. The soft cheeks dimpled as the stubbornly closed lips parted. Without waiting, Siyun eagerly filled Miju’s warm lips.
Miju surrendered herself to his touch. She was a person who would yield when given up, expressing surrender with her whole body until she was given up thoroughly.
However, she already had the intention to surrender to Siyun completely. Despite promising herself not to easily surrender in front of Siyun every time, it wasn’t easy.
“Don’t act like a child.”
Siyun, wiping Miju’s heated lips, froze Miju with his languid voice.
Between the parted lips of the two, Miju regained her composure, reporting her daily routine as if reporting to work.

“I went to the bookstore and bought a few notebooks with a fan.”
“Well done.”
Whether he meant it or said it absentmindedly, Siyun, with Miju’s earlobe in his mouth, responded briefly. When he touched her small and soft earlobe, Miju shrank and grabbed Siyun’s shoulder.
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
