“Are you fighting with Hae-seong High today?”

Seong Ji-chan looked utterly clueless.
“What Hae-seong High?”
What? So they just barged in?
Soon, Seong Ji-chan went “Ah” and snapped his fingers.

My voice rose in frustration, but Seong Ji-chan just shrugged nonchalantly.

I gritted my teeth and said, “We don’t have time for this. The Hae-seong High guys have come to our school looking for you.”
Seong Ji-chan, however, remained unperturbed.
“Wow, you came to worry about me? Thanks.”
As always, the school boss was bold.
‘I shouldn’t have come, really!’
I should’ve just gone home. Worrying about the main character was overstepping my bounds as an extra.
Lesson learned. I won’t meddle in their affairs again.
Then, I heard murmurs from outside.
‘Are they here already?’
I exchanged a look with Seong Ji-chan, whose eyes gleamed strangely.

Seong Ji-chan stretched leisurely and then asked me.

I pondered for a moment. Other than being kidnapped alongside Yoo Hee-na last time, I had no connections with them.
“Not really, I don’t think I know anyone well enough…”
“That’s good.”
Good? What’s good?
Seong Ji-chan grinned, increasing my anxiety.
“Tell them I’m not here when they come.”
“What? How can I say you’re not here when you are? Are you planning to hide? They’ll find you easily here.”
“No.”
Seong Ji-chan pointed at the window.
Was he planning to escape through there? Where was the dignity of the school’s top delinquent?
Seeing my twisted expression, Seong Ji-chan added.
“Honestly, even I can’t take all of them on alone. Sometimes, the best option is to run.”
So, it was proven. Seong Ji-chan couldn’t handle a 20 against 1 situation. I wasn’t wrong.
But, that’s not the point.
“Then I’ll go with you.”
I grabbed Seong Ji-chan’s clothes in desperation, but he harshly shook off my hand.
“No, you can’t. If no one is here, those guys will know I’ve run away and they’ll chase after me. Then I’ll be caught right away.”
What about me then?
“Don’t worry too much. Just make sure they don’t find out you know me. Those guys are trash, but they don’t mess with ordinary people. Even we have our ‘rules’.”
Seong Ji-chan placed his hands on my shoulders and spoke earnestly.
“Chun-ja, I only trust you.”
I stared blankly at Seong Ji-chan’s face.
‘What is this guy saying?’
Regaining my senses, I yelled at Seong Ji-chan, who was already sitting on the window sill.
“Hey, you have to deal with your own problems. Why are you telling me to handle it?”
Seong Ji-chan replied nonchalantly.
“Because it’s bothersome!”
Then, he winked at me as he climbed out the window.
In the moment our eyes met, it felt as if telepathy had worked.
‘I’m counting on you.’
‘Crazy…’
And with that, Seong Ji-chan disappeared.
Left alone in the infirmary, I was outraged.
“That crazy guy!”
I was infuriated, but it was too late.
‘An ungrateful wretch!’
Someone came to warn him out of concern, risking danger, and he just left that person to deal with the enemy?
If I knew the school boss was such a coward, I would have never read a story featuring a school boss.
No matter how much I cursed Seong Ji-chan, my situation didn’t change.
‘What do I do now?’
