“Cordelia!”

Before that voice even reached her ears, Cordelia’s body floated slightly and was pushed aside.

When she turned to look, sharp claws were embedded in the floor.

Had she been a moment slower, Nazaboot would surely have split her in half. A chill ran down her spine. Seeing her attempt fail, Nazaboot twisted her lips in frustration and turned around.

Naturally, Leonard stood there, breathing heavily as he glared at her.

“You’re such a nuisance until the very end.”

Nazaboot raised her hand once more. But immediately, the twelve serpents conjured by Leonard coiled tightly around her, binding her limbs.

“Such pathetic nonsense!”

The demon raised her hand and sliced through all the serpents entwining her body. Seizing that opening, Leonard stepped in front of Cordelia.

Cordelia was overwhelmed with fear, staring at Roto collapsed on the floor, bleeding—was she dead? But she couldn’t stop now. She clenched back her tears and kept casting her spell.

“I’ll kill you all.”

“Over my dead body.”

Nazaboot and Leonard clashed again. Yet as time passed, the odds increasingly turned against Leonard. Although Nazaboot’s strength had been greatly weakened by Cordelia’s magic, she still refused to fall easily.

Nazaboot raised both hands. From her fingertips, razor-sharp blades of wind formed. One of them streaked straight for Cordelia’s throat.
