The room was dingy. Dust and cobwebs accumulated everywhere, catching the eye first. An old side table and a flea-infested bed were all it contained, and despite it being late summer, a chill that raised the hair on one’s neck pervaded the room.

Helena’s appearance had changed beyond recognition compared to just a few days ago. No one would believe she was once a countess, given her yellowed dress and greasy hair.

“How dare you throw me in a place like this!”

As soon as Helena realized that Cordelia had entered, she immediately raised her claws and screeched.

“Have you been well, Lady?”

“You ungrateful thing! After all the kindness I showed you, you lock me up in this tower? If I get out of here, I will not leave you alone! I’ll call the people of the castle, have you whipped and stripped, and throw you into the streets!”

“How will you get out of here?”

“……You!”

“Craig has rightfully succeeded the countship, and I have become the countess. No one will remember Helena Abrams, the former countess, anymore. Stay here a month more, and people might even forget your name.”

“It’s all lies! Lies!”

Helena screamed so hard it seemed her throat would burst, but her appearance was more pitiable and ridiculous than frightening.

Her past domination seemed like a distant memory.

Then Baron spoke.

“The freest woman in this country isn’t the one who’s divorced her husband but the one whose husband lies ill in bed, with all the real power in the wife’s hands.”

“…….”

“Once the master regains his body and you, Cordelia, return alone to this castle, everything from a blade of grass to a handful of dirt in Abrams Castle will be yours.”

“Mine, you say.”

“Even the life of Helena Abrams will hang on your finger.”

Baron whispered sweetly as if coating his words with honey. Cordelia fell into deep thought.

Divorce was something she had dreamt of since shortly after her marriage. Her desire to become a magic appraiser also stemmed from the need for a suitable profession to support herself as a single woman after divorce.

But if, as Baron suggested, she controlled Craig’s body and ruled Abrams Castle, the story would change completely.

Moreover, Helena and Arnold were imprisoned in the tower.

“Let me out! Don’t go! Aaaah!”

Cordelia turned and left the room. Helena’s wails followed her, but Cordelia ignored them.

“What’s this? Just a while ago, you were so downcast you wouldn’t even talk to me.”

“I’m not a child. Since I’ve decided to go, I should prepare properly.”

Leonard was suspicious of Cordelia’s sudden change in attitude, but since it aligned with his desires, he added no further comment.

“Good. You’ve made the right decision. After all, you’re supposed to stay by my side for life.”

“Yes, yes, Master. I will serve you well.”

“You don’t seem to realize what an honor it is to serve the master. There are many who wish to serve him but can’t. Be more joyous in your service.”

“Can’t you see how happy I am? I’m so ecstatic I might just fly away.”

“Don’t be sarcastic. Do it right.”

“If Belucci keeps picking on me, I can’t serve you well, can I? Oh, move out of the way, will you?”

Belucci glared at Cordelia, blocking her path. Of course, she didn’t even blink. As the standoff continued, Leonard waved his hand.

“Enough. Belucci, finish what I told you to do and come back.”

“……Yes.”

“Cordelia, come here and redraw the magic circle.”

“Alright.”

Belucci glared at Cordelia until he left the room. As soon as he was gone, she muttered.

“Why does that man like the master so much?”

An unexpected question. Naturally, she was expected to ask why he was so impolite.
Leonard handed a piece of paper to Cordelia, saying,

“How much do you know about the Ingrian family?”

“They’re a well-known knightly family with considerable power in the central politics, right?”

“Duke Ingrian values his honor more than his life. That’s why he tried to kill Belucci several times.”

Cordelia’s hand, holding the pen, trembled at this unexpected revelation, ruining the half-drawn magic circle. Leonard handed her a new sheet of paper.

“He tried to kill his own son? Why? Because he’s illegitimate?”

“The duke considered Belucci a stain on his reputation. Belucci wasn’t born of a legitimate marriage, and his mother held the lowest profession, making it worse. The moment the duke realized his existence, he wanted him dead. Belucci is alive only because he entrusted his life to me.”

“Why would he give Belucci the family name if he hated him so much?”

“It wasn’t the duke who bestowed it. Belucci himself declared he was the duke’s son, so he’s inevitably called Belucci Ingrian.”

“But if the duke denies it, that’s the end of it, isn’t it?”

“How could he deny it? They have the same eyes.”

“The same eyes?”

The conversation ended there as a servant announced a visitor.

“You called for me, Count. Ah, the Countess is here too.”

It was Baron Dean Lancaster. He sat across from Leonard with a polite greeting.

“Yes. There’s something I need you to do, Baron.”

“What shall I do?”

My Ex-Girlfriend Is The Regent In The Female-dominant World (Male lead transmigrates to the matriarchal world)

Two years ago, Gu Sui picked up a homeless woman in ancient costume from the street.

Apart from occasionally claiming to be a princess from a female-dominant country due to illness, her figure, appearance, intelligence, and martial arts skills were impeccable.

Naturally evolving from roommates to girlfriends, as time went on, Gu Sui found it increasingly difficult to tolerate her queen syndrome.

“Mu Jiulu, can you stop controlling me inside and out? Let’s break up.”

Gu Sui made a breakup call, and since then, he couldn’t find any trace of her.

A year later, Gu Sui, who was planning to move, woke up the next day and found himself in a different place.

“Young Master, today is the day you choose your Wife-master through martial arts competition at Jade Dew Pavilion. Please get up quickly.”

Gu Sui: Who am I? Where am I? What am I doing?

As the only son of a general’s mansion in a female-dominant dynasty, the young empress personally issued a decree allowing Gu Sui to select his Wife-master through martial arts competition. Whoever could defeat him could marry him.

Gu Sui: “……”

He didn’t inherit the original owner’s martial prowess, so anyone could defeat him! And what the hell is a Wife-master?

Forced to come to Jade Dew Pavilion, the densely packed women below made Gu Sui’s agoraphobia act up, and his face was full of resistance.

Until he saw the Regent sitting on the second floor, with a smile on the corner of her lips, her eyes wicked and nonchalant.

Hmm… she looked a little familiar.

It turned out that the Regent also found him a little familiar.

Mu Jiulu fiddled with her bone clasp, her deep gaze locked on the man who was out of place in this world.

“Finally, I found you.”
