“Hahaha.”

Leonard burst into laughter as soon as Gerard finished speaking. Gerard’s eyebrows twitched.

“What’s so funny?”

“The consistency in this family is amazing. Stupidity and idiocy definitely run in the bloodline.”

“What?”

“Looks like your ears got damaged along with your face. It’s pitiful. Now I see why you’re so desperate for this backwater Count title.”

Cordelia, standing at the back, inwardly admired. In just about five minutes, Gerard’s face had already turned red and purple with anger.

‘As expected, he’s exceptional at infuriating people.’

“Ha, let’s see how long your smart mouth lasts!”

Unable to find more to say, Gerard stormed out of the room. Cordelia closed the door and approached Leonard.

“Why did you have him come if you were just going to provoke him? To burst his veins?”

“What are you talking about? I had to check what kind of man he is. He could be a spy for Maximilian.”

“A spy?”

“Sadly, with his brains, that seems unlikely.”

Leonard’s mocking tone made Cordelia feel awkward.

“So, you’ll just let him be?”

“Why should I care about such a small fry?”

“The Countess, I mean, right.”

Her indifferent tone made Cordelia feel a bit bleak. Just a month ago, she was so concerned about what to do if Gerard Abrams visited.

“So, I should just meet him and deal with it?”

“Meet? Why meet? Every second you use for studying is precious, why waste it on that idiot?”

“Gerard is a guest of the castle, and I have a duty to entertain guests. Starting from dinner tonight…”

“Ah, right. There’s another guest coming.”

“Another guest?”

“Forget about that guest. Prepare to welcome the other one.”

“Huh? Who’s coming? Who is it?”

Leonard didn’t answer. He just left her with the words that she would find out tomorrow. And true to his word, at noon the next day, a servant rushed to her.

“Ingrian? Did you say Ingrian?”

“Yes, yes. That’s why all the knights have rushed to the front gate.”
The young servant’s cheeks were flushed with excitement, seemingly eager to rush off at any moment.

‘Why here?’ Cordelia wanted to ask, but she simply waved her hand gently in dismissal.

“Understood. I’ll head there right away.”

“Yes, Lady Cordelia.”

Though Abrams was a countryside location in the northeast, the fame of the Ingrian family was not unknown to them.

Unlike the empty honor of ‘the cleanest sword’ left to the Basquez family, Ingrian was one of the most renowned and substantial knight families in Erche.

In other words, a family with which Abrams would never have any dealings in life or death.

‘Is this the guest Master mentioned yesterday?’

After instructing the maids to prepare food and a bath, Cordelia slowly made her way to the castle gate.

The identity of the visitor was apparent from afar. Surrounded by Abrams’ knights like a swarm of bees, there was a man riding a giant black horse.

Helena and Lillie, who hadn’t shown their faces for days, were also present.

“Ah, what brings such a distinguished person to this humble place?”

“A person I need to meet is here.”

Ingrian responded casually, to which Lillie quickly leaned forward and asked,

“Do you have someone you’re looking for?”

“And who might you be?”

“Oh, my apologies for not introducing myself earlier. I am Lillie Dalia. My maiden name was Abrams.”

“My daughter,” Helena added.

His gaze lingered on Lillie before shifting to Cordelia, who was standing further back. Ingrian pointed his chin at her.

“And that lady there?”

“Ah.”

Helena turned around, noticing the person Ingrian was indicating, and forced a smile.

“She’s not someone to be overly concerned about… She’s just a girl married to my son.”

“I am Cordelia Abrams.”

Cordelia stepped forward and gracefully curtsied. Hearing her name, something in Ingrian’s eyes changed.

He strode towards Cordelia, parting the crowd naturally. Everyone’s attention was fixed on the two.

The man she faced was larger than she had anticipated, and his presence was quite imposing. Cordelia involuntarily stepped back.

He looked her over somewhat rudely, not in a sexual manner but more like appraising an object.

“So, it’s you.”

“Me?”

“The one I’ve been looking for.”

He suddenly smiled softly, the stiffness around his mouth relaxing for the first time.

“Me?”

Confused by the unexpected turn of events, Cordelia blinked in bewilderment.

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband

This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.

When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.

She makes his life a living hell.

And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.

Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!

Intro

Dong Xia lost her memory.

Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”

Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.

…

The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.

She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.

Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.

No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!

Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂

*

Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.

The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.

In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.

The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.

And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.

Notes:

1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.

2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
