Tae Seok Gyu, consciously pulling down the crooked corner of his mouth, tilted his head slightly upward.

“He whisked Seo Yoon away and faked her death certificate, then immediately stabbed your father in the back. Your father only knew that Seo Yoon had died—on his own orders.”

Tae Seok Gyu continued, gazing into empty space.

“How devastated Kang Hyun must’ve been when he learned his older brother had killed Seo Yoon.”

“You—you bastard!”

“Transfer all your construction shares to me and step down. Don’t worry—I’ll lead Seo Won well enough.”

A faint smile touched Tae Seok Gyu’s lips as he recalled a day from four years ago.

“What’s so shocking about that? His heart just stopped. I stood there watching my dying brother and only called the medical staff when I realized he couldn’t die just yet.”

Kang Hyun stared at Tae Seok Gyu, who was calmly recounting how his father had died, completely unmoved.

“Oh dear—your brother died before I could secure the share transfer. But you crumbled far too easily. I never imagined you’d throw away the position your brother had painstakingly built for you. That moment taught me a valuable lesson.”

Tae Seok Gyu smirked, thinking of his henchman who by now should’ve already gotten hold of Seo Yoon.

“You said you’d find the person who did this to Seo Yoon and make them pay.”

Tae Seok Gyu swallowed the mouthful of strong liquor and twisted his lips into a sardonic smile.

“It’s you—and everyone around you—who killed Seo Yoon.”

Seok Won, fists clenched on his knees, gritted his teeth as he glared at Kang Hyun.
