Holding the completely removed cork and lifting my head, my eyes met Kang Hyun’s.

I shouldn’t have insisted on opening the cork myself—it barely felt like a proper company dinner anymore.

His jet-black eyes, set slightly closer to his eyelids, exuded an inexplicably lewd atmosphere, and I couldn’t guess at all what he was thinking.

“Take it.”

Along with that monotonous voice—seemingly indifferent at first glance—his unwavering gaze remained fixed on me so persistently it stung my skin.

Ji An pulled her fingertips away from the wine bottle, tingling just as sharply as when he’d held her hand in his office, and picked up her glass.

Staring blankly as the wine flowed through the narrow neck and filled the rounded glass, I felt strangely lightheaded.

“How about you stop drinking now?”

“Just one more glass—it’s so delicious!”

Where had she learned to drink like this, when she barely touched alcohol before?

Ji An kept emptying her glass as soon as it was refilled, her cheeks flushed and her expression dazed. Somehow, the entire bottle of wine was already empty.

Though I was terribly worried she might upset her stomach, I couldn’t bring myself to refuse her sweet, coaxing voice.

“Managing Director, I have a question.”

“Go ahead.”

“That was Chairman Seo Won of Seo Won Group earlier, right?”
