Driven by the impulse to go after her immediately, Kanghyun changed his clothes, grabbed the doorknob of the front door, but suddenly regained his senses and returned to the bedroom.

After finishing a shower with cold water, Kanghyun successfully diverted his attention to the book titled “Pregnancy and Childbirth” while reading about relationships.

Although he had planned to have a baby after marriage, there was nothing wrong with preparing in advance.

The most worrying part of the content of the third book he was reading was still about labor and childbirth.

It was said that if morning sickness was severe, there could be cases where the mother could not drink water properly.

If he couldn’t help Seoyoon in such a situation, he might really want to die.

In my eyes, Seoyoon, who was still a small baby, giving birth was still a problem.

He fell asleep with the wish that the baby’s head would be as small as possible, and that day he had a nightmare where the opposite came true.

Seoyoon scolded him for already thinking about such things, but when thinking about the uncertain future, Kanghyun’s obsession with Seoyoon eased slightly.

Thud.
Having spent time alone, Kanghyun heard the sound of the door closing and hurriedly stepped out of the bedroom.

“Yuna.”

Seoyoon, who had just taken off her shoes and entered the inner corridor, saw Kanghyun approaching quickly and opened her arms.

Kanghyun, who embraced Seoyoon immediately, greedily tightened his arms around her waist.

“Oppa, I can’t breathe.”

Today, Seoyoon, who had quietly waited for Kanghyun, finally tapped his thick forearm.

“Sorry.”

Kanghyun, who quickly stepped back, looked displeasedly at Seoyoon’s bag and outerwear.

“Was it fun?”

“Yeah! Hajun got promoted.”

Hearing the not-so-pleasant name, Kanghyun raised his eyebrows.

He had said that the one who arrested Gusejun was Myeonghajun.

It seemed like he was recognized for catching a suspect, as the case was still a hot topic.

“I’m not interested.”

Shaking his head behind Kanghyun, who responded coldly, Seoyoon headed to the dressing room to change clothes.

In the recently remodeled dressing room of the Seongbuk-dong house, which hadn’t been long since the remodeling, it was filled with clothes and accessories Kanghyun had bought.

Moreover, the space was made like a circular maze larger than the last time, making it unfamiliar every time he stepped in.

Seoyoon, as usual, walked over to Kanghyun, who was guarding her like a stubborn ghost, and let down her skirt.

“Let’s get married after a month. I’ll be a married woman soon. Hajun is just a friend; you don’t have to be sensitive.”

“I wasn’t being sensitive.”

“Just hearing Hajun’s name makes you sick.”

“Do I have to pretend to like Myeonghajun too?”

The memory of the guy he was hugging in the hospital until the end and shopping correctly at the department store still lingered.

If it’s just allowing them to meet as friends, isn’t that okay?

Is there a need to treat that friend favorably?

There was a bit of confusion in the process of judging between normal and abnormal.

Kanghyun, who repeatedly narrowed his eyebrows and contemplated, lowered his gaze below when he met Seoyoon’s gaze staring at him intently in the mirror.

“I can’t do it even if you’re disappointed.”

As Seoyoon’s finger, unbuttoning the blouse, slipped due to the rising alcohol, it seemed like she had chosen her words a bit wrong.

“No, Oppa. I didn’t mean that. I just wish Oppa wouldn’t worry too much…”

Knowing how hard he was trying, making such a mistake.

Self-blaming Seoyoon tapped her forehead with a pouting expression.

“What are you doing?”

Surprised, Kanghyun grabbed Seoyoon’s wrist, gently stroked the forehead that wasn’t hurt much, and touched it with his palm.

“Sorry, Oppa. After washing up, I should sit where I think I belong.”

“Why are you? It’s my seat there.”

Cutely pouting lips, Kanghyun kissed them, and unbuttoned the remaining blouse buttons himself.

“You’re doing really well these days, Oppa. There’s no need for me to sit there.”
Due to being so accustomed to the chair Kanghyun thought of in Jeju Island, he had also created the same thing in the garden of their newlywed home. However, recently, Kanghyun didn’t see any flaws in it.

“It’s still not enough.”

“This is sufficient.”

Seoyoon, full of intense praise, patted Kanghyun’s buttocks.

Kanghyun’s eyes narrowed thinly when he tried to take out Seoyoon’s nightgown to put it on.

“Why touch my buttocks without permission?”

“…Do you need permission to touch Oppa?”

“Since you started it, you take responsibility.”

“What? I need to take a shower.”

Kanghyun let out a pitiful excuse, stroked Seoyoon’s hip with one ear, and placed it on the bedside table that reached her waist with both hands.

The bedside table, which had experienced supporting Seoyoon several times before, made an unpleasant sound.

“Is this going to break?”

A slightly anxious Seoyoon rolled her eyes around.

“Let’s use it until today, and we can replace it with a new one.”

With round knees spread open, Kanghyun, who had found his place between them, grabbed Seoyoon’s nape with his hand.

It was a common day when the dressing room’s purpose changed.

Colorful autumn leaves fell one by one at the end of October, and Kanghyun and Seoyoon became a married couple.

Holding Seoyoon in a wedding dress, Kanghyun, moved, did shed tears, but fortunately, he didn’t show any weakness during the wedding.

Right after the wedding, they immediately went on a honeymoon to the Maldives and spent a full ten days eating and playing on a resort built above the emerald-colored sea.

Except for sticking close to Kanghyun every day, upon returning from a trip where the body wouldn’t be strained, Seoyoon hadn’t left the bed for the second day.

“Yuna.”

Kanghyun, whose pallor was worse than Seoyoon lying and staring at the ceiling, placed a wet towel on Seoyoon’s forehead, which still had a fever.

Seoyoon, lying in bed for the second day, unable to get up, felt her mouth dry as if the intravenous drip the new family doctor attached to her house had no effect.

“I think we should go to the hospital.”

Kanghyun, changing the just-placed wet towel, reached the point where his hands were trembling.

“It’s just a cold. Look at yourself in the mirror. I opened a hospital recently.”

Seeing Kanghyun’s pale face, Seoyoon laughed at the absurdity, as if she wouldn’t be surprised even if she fainted and was taken to the emergency room right away.

When male lead is the homewrecker

“I know she doesn’t love him.”

I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!

The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.

Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.

The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.

I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.

There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.

For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.

I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.

Here’s the story synopsis:

One-line summary: She is his lifelong obsession, to the point where he was willing to be a third wheel, scorned by society, just to wedge his way into her relationship with her fiancé.

Cold-hearted and indifferent female lead + Scheming and subservient CEO male lead

Intro 1:

“I know she doesn’t love him.”

With blood trickling from his clenched fist, Rong Xiu gazed at the woman before him, his eyes clouded with anguish. Hidden in the wardrobe, he had witnessed Fan Xia – the woman he desperately loved – in an intimate embrace with her fiancé. Yet his heart still yearned for her, defying all reason.

Fan Xia, the elegant and composed assistant, carried something mysterious in her eyes whenever she looked at her fiancé, Wen Lan Sheng. Strange occurrences began to surface – secret meetings with the young Gu Jin Yi, an unexplained withdrawal of 5,000 yuan… Then suddenly, her fiancé’s sister, Wen Jing, violently attacked her.

In this matriarchal society, Rong Xiu had risen to become the chairman of a powerful healthcare conglomerate, breaking through gender prejudices. But for the first time, he willingly stepped into the shadows as the other man, disregarding his friends’ warnings to become her secret lover.

Because he had discovered the truth – Fan Xia wasn’t the pure angel everyone believed her to be. And perhaps, he was the only one capable of helping her execute her mysterious plan…

Intro 2:

Rong Xiu’s biggest regret in life was missing out on Fan Xia.

He secretly loved Fan Xia for 7 years.

Watched her go public with her boyfriend.

Watched her kiss her boyfriend at their wedding.

Until that man blissfully nestled in Fan Xia’s arms, obtaining everything he could only dream of.

The crazy jealousy stripped away his hidden secret love, layer by layer, burning like wildfire.

Fan Xia, how can I have you!
