She slowly got up, went to the pitcher on the table, and poured water. After washing her face for a long time with cold water, she felt refreshed.
Wiping her face with a towel, she pondered.
“Is it because I heard about the First Prince that it felt so real?”
She sighed, wondering if she would continue to be tormented by dreams. As she recalled the dream, her stomach suddenly twisted and started to ache heavily.
“I’m hungry…”
Amy hastily grabbed the gown hanging on the screen and hurriedly put it on. She neatly tied her disheveled hair up and quickly left the room, descending the stairs.
It seemed past breakfast time, and the first floor was not very crowded. Noah, sitting in a spot with a good view of the stairs, spotted Amy and waved his hands wildly.
“Amy! Over here!”
“I’m late, aren’t I? I’m sorry, Your Highness.”
As Amy quickly approached, apologizing, Noah’s eyes widened in surprise, and he hastily shook his head.
“No, no, it’s not like that. It was me who told you to rest well. Joseph just came down too.”
Suddenly mentioned, Joseph twitched his shoulders. His face briefly showed a hint of resentment, but seeing the stern look from his new master, he quietly looked down.
“Yes, you’re not late, so please have your meal.”
“There you see.”
Noah excitedly pulled Amy to a chair and sat her down. Then he gestured towards the kitchen. Following his signal, the inn’s servers brought dishes filled with food to the table.
“Your Highness, haven’t you eaten yet?”
Amy asked in a whisper, looking at the amount of food that seemed to be enough for at least two people. Noah shook his head.
“I’ve eaten. This is all for you, Amy.”
“But…”
As she looked around the table in dismay, Noah said,
“And, it’s Noah, not Your Highness.”
“Ah, yes. I’ll be careful.”
“Right. Eat up.”
Noah grinned, while Joseph cautiously spoke up.
“I thought His Highness hadn’t eaten properly… so I assumed you two were going to eat together.”
“Noah, you haven’t been eating properly… I thought you two were planning to eat together.”
“You shouldn’t eat like that.”
A surprised Amy quickly placed a spoon in Noah’s hand. Noah, with his mouth firmly closed, glared at Joseph. Startled by the sharp gaze, Joseph flinched and bowed his head, then pondered over what he might have done wrong.
Noah turned to look at Amy.
“Then let’s eat together.”
“Yes.”
Amy took a spoonful of stew with meat and tomatoes. Eating the hot food eased her stomach and somewhat dispelled the unease from her dream. As she ate faster, Noah smiled contentedly.
The Crown Prince frowned as he gazed at the people prostrated at his feet. They were the spies and maids he had infiltrated into the Second Prince’s palace. Strictly speaking, they were sent to monitor Amy, the housekeeper, not the Second Prince.
“I instructed you to stick with her to the North.”
He pressed his forehead with his hand, feeling a headache. Until a few months ago, Amy, whom he barely knew, suddenly began looking at him with disdain, eventually leaving for the Second Prince. As if that wasn’t hard enough to endure, now she was heading to the distant North!
The Crown Prince sternly glared at the maids and asked,
“Why were you expelled?”
The maids exchanged glances, recalling the events that led to their expulsion just before leaving the Second Prince’s palace.
An Indifferent Woman is the One Men Desire the Most
One-line summary: The female lead is actually cold-hearted and extremely rational. She has stage-by-stage relationships and won’t two-time, but there will always be someone who secretly likes her.
This novel has the following triggers, so if you’re sensitive to these, please don’t read:
1. The female lead has had many relationships, but she treated each one seriously and broke up properly.
It’s just that the men unilaterally pestered her incessantly. For the female lead, when she doesn’t like someone anymore, she simply doesn’t like them.
(This applies to her relationships with Male Lead 1, 2, 3, and 4 as well, but she’s loyal in each 1-on-1 relationship!)
2. In this novel, Male Lead 2 and the female lead kiss in a car, and Male Lead 1 sees it and beats up Male Lead 2.
The female lead calls the police and sends both Male Lead 1 and 2 to the police station! Male Lead 1 begs the female lead not to break up with him.
3. Male Lead 1 has a gentle appearance but an obsessive personality.
Male Lead 2 has a delicate and soft appearance, slightly green tea-like (two-faced).
Male Lead 3 is a youthful college student and a smart person who has secretly liked the female lead for a long time.
Male Lead 4 is the female lead’s father’s special assistant, a business elite with deep, hidden thoughts.
4. At the beginning of this novel, the female lead has already broken up with Male Lead 1 (Chapter 4) and gotten back together with Male Lead 2 (ex-boyfriend).
5. Enter with caution if you have triggers!!!
