‘Why am I so anxious?’

Amy placed a hand over her chest, trying to calm her racing heartbeat.

‘It’s uncertain whether he’ll really go or not. And even if he does decide to go…’

She bit her lip, then slowly relaxed her expression.

‘It’s His Highness’s decision. I have no right to say anything about it.’

Only then did her heart begin to settle. Yes, the sole reason she was here was for Lord Noah’s happiness. So all she had to do was follow his lead.

‘The plan I set in motion isn’t far from completion anyway.’

She’d always thought of it as something far off in the distant future… Amy pressed a hand to her chest as she watched Melburn giving orders to the staff, Mrs. Weaver managing the servants, and Vernon standing guard outside the hall. Strangely enough, she felt a pang of disappointment.
