Who Regressed the Timekeeper? (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 7
“So it is ours, then. You’re going to take it all out?”
“Every last copper—no, actually, give it to me in Imperial-era gold coins.”
Amy’s voice carried a suppressed heat. The Guild Master eyed her suspiciously for a moment, then wordlessly gestured to his subordinate. The man turned and disappeared underground.
“…….”
“…….”
Left alone, the silence grew awkward. The Guild Master cleared his throat with a soft “Hm!” and began fiddling with a wooden token, casually striking up conversation—a standard tactic for customer service.
“Given that the token is gold-tier, you must have deposited quite a sum… Planning to leave the country or something?”
“Mind your own business.”
Amy shut him down with a single sentence. The Guild Master nodded sheepishly. Amy scanned the room with dry eyes, merely killing time until her money arrived—but the next moment, her eyes widened in shock. Wait, was that…?
“…Good heavens.”
A sound escaped Amy’s lips—somewhere between a gasp and a groan. The Guild Master wondered what she’d seen, but quickly lost interest and turned his head away. Though her face returned to its usual blank expression, her heart pounded wildly.
‘That emblem… the symbol of the southern rebellion’s faction.’
Amy swallowed hard and, unnoticed by the Guild Master, stole a glance at the banner hanging on the wall behind him. Embroidered upon it was a hawk striking downward like lightning. Good grief—it really was that crest.
‘So this guild is connected to the rebellion…’
Amy stared blankly at the Guild Master, utterly bewildered.
This place was known for discreetly safeguarding hidden funds in exchange for fees. Only those in the know used it, and its reputation for absolute secrecy was legendary. Amy herself had come here to secretly siphon off the Crown Prince’s hidden slush fund.
‘I created that slush fund myself—so I’ve every right to take it.’
Even if the Crown Prince later discovered she’d cleaned him out, he’d have no recourse. After all, the fund itself was illegal. Where could he possibly complain? To the Emperor himself? If the Emperor suspected him of building a private faction using illicit funds, he’d be stripped of his title—and then some.
In her previous life, as she lay dying in that icy prison cell, she’d ground her teeth in fury at the thought of all the wealth she’d painstakingly accumulated over decades being handed over intact to Lady Esmain.
But now—
‘This will become His Highness the Second Prince’s settlement fund for the North.’
Wasn’t that far better than letting that ungrateful Crown Prince and Lady Esmain squander it on luxuries?
Amy, smiling contentedly, snapped back to her senses and glanced sideways at the banner again.
‘This isn’t the time to dwell on that.’
She urgently sifted through her memories. This was a golden opportunity sent from the heavens—and Amy had never been one to let opportunity slip through her fingers.
‘Come to think of it, it should be about time…’
Having gathered her thoughts, she casually began.
“I have a question.”
The Guild Master, who’d been idly twitching his fingers with a bored expression, looked up.
“What is it?”
“How’s the South these days?”
“…….”
His mouth stayed shut—the question was too broad. Amy bit her lip impatiently. Given this guild’s apparent ties to the rebellion’s ringleaders, she couldn’t afford to ask too specifically.
‘What if they suspect how I know and throw me in a cell—or worse, torture me?’
Her ankle, once injured by Lady Esmain, suddenly throbbed anew. Amy silently resolved: never again would she suffer like that.
Her motto for this second life was simple—stay safe, eat well, live well.
The Guild Master replied with disinterest.
“The South? Well… same as always, I suppose. Farming hard, getting looked down on by folks from the capital…”
His words were stripped bare—nothing but bone. Amy inwardly grumbled that she could’ve said the same herself, when just then the subordinate returned with a small pouch.
The Guild Master first checked the contents himself, then placed it on the table and slid it toward Amy.
“Verify the amount.”
“…….”
She quickly glanced inside. It seemed roughly correct. Imperial-era gold coins held immense value—even a few pieces were worth a fortune. Satisfied, Amy gathered the pouch, when suddenly a thought struck her.
“What is it?”
Both the Guild Master and his subordinate tilted their heads, puzzled by Amy’s abrupt pause. She lifted her gaze and spoke.
“I’ll need to open an account. I want to deposit these gold coins.”
“Suit yourself.”
“It won’t be under my name—is that alright?”
“No problem.”
“The account holder will be someone who meets certain conditions I’ll specify.”
Trending
“…So you’re saying I won’t even need to verify whether that person is who they claim to be?”
The Guild Master’s eyebrow arched upward. Nobles sometimes opened nominee accounts to avoid inheritance taxes—but in those cases, the beneficiary was always clearly identified to prevent anyone else from claiming the assets.
Yet this suspicious woman before him was setting up an account entirely for a stranger, under conditions that might even let someone unintended benefit. It was unprecedented—and intriguing.
“What are these conditions?”
At his question, Amy replied casually.
“Currently twenty-three years old, male, and blue blood among blue blood.”
“!”
The Guild Master’s expression changed. “Blue blood among blue blood” was a euphemism for royalty. Amy pretended ignorance and added,
“And… someone connected to the number of coins like this one.”
She pulled out a single Imperial-era gold coin from the pouch and tossed it. The Guild Master instinctively caught it. That single coin was worth a thousand of today’s standard gold pieces.
‘Connected to the number one thousand?’
He couldn’t make sense of it. Just then, Amy suddenly remembered something else and reached into a hidden pocket sewn into her skirt, pulling out another coin and tossing it over. This time, it was an ordinary gold coin.
“A total of one thousand and one. Memorize it.”
Amy declared smugly. The Guild Master nodded without showing his confusion—but Amy keenly noticed his uncertainty.
‘They’re tied to the rebels, but they don’t truly know about him.’
That worked out even better. When he eventually came to claim the funds she’d prepared, he’d be far more curious about her than about the Guild Master.
“And… could I borrow a quill?”
She wrote a brief note, requested it be placed in the vault along with the money, then stood up. Satisfied with her unexpected success, she left the premises. The Guild Master and his subordinate simply stared at each other, feeling as though a whirlwind had just swept through.
Outside the guild’s tavern, Amy twisted and turned through the market’s labyrinthine alleys to shake off any potential pursuers. After some time had passed—
‘No tails.’
Certain she wasn’t being followed, she finally set her course for the meeting place she’d arranged with the Second Prince.
The capital’s marketplace teemed with people from every corner of the Empire—which meant rumors flew thick and fast. As she walked, Amy listened carefully to the chatter around her. Most of it, as usual, was worthless gossip—until a particular snippet caught her ear.
“They say a rebellion broke out in some southern province.”
“!”
Her steps slowed. People kept murmuring.
“I heard that too. They’ve already crossed the Len River!”
“Then the capital isn’t far! I thought they’d be crushed quickly, but they’re holding out better than expected?”
Amy filed away the news that the rebels had crossed the Len River and quickened her pace.
‘His Highness the First Prince is quite impressive.’
She clicked her tongue inwardly. The “First Prince” in her thoughts wasn’t the detestable Crown Prince of the present—but the Emperor’s hidden eldest son, born to his first Empress, who predated the current Crown Prince. He was the true owner of the funds she’d just deposited at the guild.
She’d learned of him in her past life, while imprisoned and starving to death after being kidnapped by Lady Esmain.
Unable to speak—her tongue having been cut out—the chatty jailer had regaled her with endless tales. That day’s news had shaken the capital:
Apparently, the real Crown Prince had appeared.
It was an astonishing revelation, but Amy, too weak to react, could only blink her eyes from her collapsed position. The jailer, as always, babbled on incessantly—and from him, she learned this:
The southern unrest was entirely his doing. Faced with the rebellion’s rapidly swelling forces, the Emperor had decided to depose the current Crown Prince and name him the new heir.
Continued conflict with him risked splitting the Empire in two—so the Emperor had no choice. Allegedly, the hearts of the people in the South and even the central provinces now followed him entirely.
Hearing this, Amy—whose lips had long been parched and cracked—managed a dry, crooked smile for the first time in years. The thought of Lady Esmain, once chasing chickens, now reduced to a dog, filled her with irrepressible glee.
Trudging through the market streets, Amy sank deep into thought.
‘Last time, it took him nearly three years after revealing himself to become Crown Prince…’
Her eyes sparkled.
‘What’s the harm in speeding things up a bit? The throne is his anyway.’
She planned to subtly lend him a hand—not only to complete her revenge against the current Crown Prince, but also to solidify the Second Prince’s position in the process.
A sly smile spread across her face. Killing two birds with one stone—how could she not be delighted?
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
