Sally’s tears stopped. She stared blankly at Amy. Amy held Sally’s hand and whispered softly.

“Even so, the fact that you’re my friend won’t ever change.”

“So, just like I said before, leave the imperial palace as soon as you can. Let me know where you’re going, okay?”

Rescuing her now was far too dangerous. For one, the Empress Consort wouldn’t stay idle, and at worst, Sally might even be suspected of being a spy.

“A maid without backing can easily be swept away by the slightest trouble, so she must protect herself. Even if I bring Sally here, it must be when it’s perfectly safe…….”

Then she spun around and ran off. Amy watched her retreating figure and let out a deep sigh.
