While Dae Woon was in China, Ga Eul was busy in her own way.

After Gyeo Wool’s exams ended, Ga Eul’s exam period quickly arrived. Having enrolled in more courses than others this semester to graduate early, she had to study down to the very last second.

Today, despite her busy schedule, she made time to visit her maternal grandparents—to keep the promise she’d made to pay them a visit after Gyeo Wool’s college entrance exam.

As Ga Eul was getting ready, she heard her phone alert her of an incoming text message. Absentmindedly picking up her phone and opening the message window, she noticed several photos had been sent.

They were photos of Dae Woon—with a woman. Ga Eul zoomed in for a closer look.

The location seemed to be a bar; the woman… only her profile was visible, making it hard to identify her—until the final photo, where Ga Eul confirmed it was Kang Se Ra.

Last night, during their call, Dae Woon had said he was on his way back after having a drink at the hotel’s sky lounge—but he hadn’t mentioned meeting Kang Se Ra there.

“Said we’d meet again—and sure enough, you did.”

That was what Dae Woon had told Kang Se Ra when she’d unexpectedly shown up at the gathering with his grandmother. Ga Eul still remembered how outrageous it had felt—him saying that to his ex-fiancée right beside her.

But back then, Ga Eul had let it pass without much thought, sensing a bitter undertone in his words.

“What else did he say again?”

Ga Eul carefully replayed the scene in her mind. Had he said, “I’m glad we met again”? No—he hadn’t. He hadn’t said “glad” or “pleased.” He’d said, “I’m relieved.”

Dae Woon had clearly said he was *relieved* they could meet again.

What hidden story, then, truly lay between “glad” and “relieved”?

“You *know* this happens when you don’t tell me anything.”
