Early on the morning of the College Scholastic Ability Test day, Dae Woon came to pick up Gyeo Wool.

Grandmother welcomed Dae Woon with unusual warmth—because she had seen Ga Eul’s ring the previous night. Watching Grandmother seat Dae Woon at the dining table and fuss over him so attentively, Ga Eul pouted.

Where had the same Grandmother gone, who last night had grilled her relentlessly about whether she might be pregnant? Pregnancy isn’t something you do alone, is it? Shouldn’t she at least interrogate the CEO a little too?

Just like she had extracted promises from Ga Eul—to uphold certain things, to behave properly—she ought to have invoked the neighbors’ opinions and delivered a few measured threats as well.

Yet Grandmother skipped all that entirely, instead grabbing Dae Woon’s hand warmly and leading him straight to the dining table.

“You haven’t had breakfast yet, have you? Go ahead and eat first. Drink some nice warm broth—it’ll settle your stomach nicely.”

Seeing this, Ga Eul revised her earlier assumption. Grandmother must be treating the CEO this warmly all for her sake—so he’ll treat her well from now on.

Perhaps for that reason, Dae Woon sitting comfortably at the table as if it were his own home struck her as rather pleasant.

“Hyung, you’re here?”

Gyeo Wool also emerged from his room and joined them at the table. Dae Woon handed him a small box, placing it beside him.

“I checked online, and apparently you’re not allowed to bring digital watches into the exam hall.”

Gyeo Wool opened the box—and his eyes widened.

“Thank you, Hyung!”

Wondering why he’d be so surprised over just a watch, Ga Eul peeked inside too—and her eyes widened as well.

At first glance, it was clearly far more expensive than the exam watch she’d bought for Gyeo Wool.
