It was a news article reporting that India’s Mohidra Corporation and China’s Qingda Motors had agreed to establish a joint venture. They planned to produce an Indian-style “people’s car,” and if necessary, would also form partnerships with European automakers.

“So that’s why our President and Lawyer Jung went to China.”

Though the article made no mention of Gi Dae Woong or Jeong Se Hyun, Ga Eul understood. After all, it was she who had relayed to Woo Jin’s Father that those two were collaborating with Mohidra.

But what about Shinshin Motors? Come to think of it, what she had actually reported was that Mohidra intended to acquire Shinshin Motors—and the President had claimed he was brokering the deal. Had that, too, been a lie?

The President already knew Ga Eul reported regularly to Seon Jae Ho, Director and father of Seon Woo Jin. Thus, he had deliberately leaked false information through her. Still, she couldn’t protest or raise objections about it.

He had also hinted that *he* would be the one acquiring TS Tech. Yet in reality, it was Shinhwa Electronics that ended up purchasing it. She began to wonder just how the President truly saw her. Someone he liked, but couldn’t trust? Was that why he had kept putting off their relationship?

While Ga Eul was lost in confusion, a call came in—from the very person she most wished to avoid right now: Seon Woo Jin’s Father.

—Did you see the article? What’s going on here? Didn’t you say Mohidra was going to acquire Shinshin Motors?

Seon Woo Jin’s Father sounded urgent, skipping pleasantries and launching straight into interrogation.
