Whispers of Autumn Wind (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 104

As Dae Woon’s car headed toward the Han River, Ga Eul thought he, like herself before, was taking her to the Han River. But the car crossed Hannam Bridge.

Ga Eul realized the car was heading toward the neighborhood where Chairman Oh lived. Yet even Chairman Oh’s house didn’t seem to be the final destination—the car passed right by it.

The car stopped in front of a garage belonging to a certain mansion. Immediately, the garage door slid upward smoothly.

“Is this a friend’s house?”

Since the door opened automatically upon recognizing Dae Woon’s car, it didn’t seem like Ga Eul’s first time there, so she asked.

“My house.”

Dae Woon replied tersely.

Ga Eul looked at him in surprise. The mansion was no less grand than Chairman Oh’s. She wondered why Dae Woon lived in that barren space on the office floor despite owning a house like this.

“It’s where I lived when I was little.”

As they exited the garage, a security guard came running over to greet them.

“This is my wife. Please register her face and fingerprint.”

Ga Eul was startled that Dae Woon introduced her not as “the person who will become my wife,” but simply as “my wife,” and that the guard accepted it without question.

Ga Eul went to the guardhouse and registered her face and fingerprint. It seemed she was now free to come and go from this place as if it were her own home.

The house was well maintained, as if someone were still living there. Walking through the garden, Dae Woon recounted how he used to play there. Listening to his stories, they took quite a while just to cross the garden.

“There used to be a pond over there. But when I was about five, I apparently fell in while trying to catch the fish, so they got rid of it.”
