As if she were done, she lowered her arms, and Gi Ju showed her by pulling down his collared shirt and twisting his tie to both sides.

“Is it what you imagined?”

His eyes, half-lidded, fixed persistently on Eun Chae.

“You probably chose it thinking of me.”

At his next words, Eun Chae shrugged carelessly.

“I don’t know. I just picked something at random.”

In response, Gi Ju shamelessly retorted with a face showing no trace of being hurt.

“I’m disappointed. Will you untie it again for me? The watch too.”

Though he clearly used polite phrasing, his tone bordered on demanding. Eun Chae, perceiving this with sharp intuition, briefly furrowed her brows and curtly replied,

“You don’t seem very disappointed at all.”

At that, Gi Ju smiled. There was no discernible malice, nor sarcasm—yet Eun Chae felt oddly irritated.

“Now that your hands have touched it, I can look at it up close too.”

She stiffened her neck. She wondered just how thick this man’s skin really was.

“I told you to eat it.”
