Greenhouse plants. That was the first description Seung Yoon heard of Song Eun Chae from someone else. The rest of the descriptions about her were all subjects of mockery.

Because of that, it didn’t take long for Seung Yoon, who hadn’t even seen the face of his fiancée, to think about how stifling her life might be, and how pitiful she must be.

He had no doubt that he would live a safe and uneventful married life, securing an easy victory in the struggle against Song Eun Chae.

But she was unexpectedly meticulous and coolheaded.

Taken aback, Seung Yoon burst out laughing while smoking heavily. He also took occasional drinks to suppress his embarrassment.

On the terrace, Kim So Hee looked at him with pity as he smoked and puffed. After her shower, she approached him with her body wrapped in a robe that was still damp, and hugged him.

“Oppa, this is a nonsmoking area.”

Seung Yoon avoided So Hee’s concerned gaze, seeming annoyed. And that upset Kim So Hee even more.

“Is something wrong? You don’t seem well.”

Seung Yoon, who was about to answer immediately, hesitated for a moment. He thought it was not a matter to discuss with her. But as he pulled out another cigarette and started to think again, he wondered what it mattered.

Consulting with his acquaintances was equivalent to spreading rumors about himself. Telling his inlaws was like a dog smeared with shit scolding another dog smeared with chaff. In short, he was caught between a rock and a hard place.

In this situation, Seung Yoon had no room to consider Kim So Hee’s feelings. And he didn’t want to.

“My fiancée has a man. Or maybe she always did.”

The complexion of So Hee, who thought Seung Yoon looked sexy even when he was soaked in frustration, hardened. She had only suspected it was a family issue or a business problem.

“The man we saw at Daehakro?”

So Hee was itching to ask why he cared, why it mattered. Fortunately, she concealed her vulgar impulse with her superb acting skills. When Seung Yoon nodded, So Hee lightly smiled and said,

“They looked good together?”

Whether her words hit a nerve or not, Seung Yoon shrugged off So Hee’s arm around his shoulder and muttered,

“Good together, my ass.”

So Hee’s smiling lips twitched ever so slightly.

“But why didn’t you tell me she’s your fiancée?”

Only then did Seung Yoon steal a glance at So Hee. So Hee was relieved to realize that she wasn’t entirely insignificant to him.

Of course, that’s how it should be. The important one is not that woman, but me.

So Hee flattered herself with that thought.

“When she came to our art gallery together, you should have said something.”

“I thought ignorance was bliss. Sorry, sorry.”

Seung Yoon quickly wrapped his arm around So Hee’s shoulder and nuzzled his head against her. So Hee savored the moment when Seung Yoon lowered his body to respond.

“Tch, enough.”

“Ah, why? You know you’re the only one for me.”

“Then give me a kiss.”

When So Hee asked with a sullen face, Seung Yoon instantly showered her forehead, nose, and lips with small kisses, and snuggled up to her. Feeling the quick response of his body, So Hee thought this must be love, and hugged Seung Yoon’s head. In that intoxicated mood, she casually asked,

“But why do you have to marry a woman who has a man?”

While hurriedly fumbling with the gown, Seung Yoon responded,

“I’ve said it many times, it’s a strategic marriage. I have no power.”

Seung Yoon looked into her eyes as if he was frustrated, as if he wanted her to understand him. So Hee pretended to be understanding and hugged him.

While trying hard to erase the afterimage of that woman, Song Eun Chae.

((())) ((())) ((()))

Eun Chae was immersed in the performance of Shostakovich’s Waltz No. 2. She felt exhilarated by the cynicism and unpredictability of Shostakovich’s composition.

Her environment did not permit unpredictability, but through music, she could escape momentarily. It was like engaging in secret rebellion, she supposed. Hence, she particularly enjoyed performing Shostakovich’s compositions.

Eventually, the sound of all instruments subsided. It wasn’t just her who was satisfied; everyone seemed happy. Someone suggested taking a brief rest, and one by one, they agreed. Eun Chae was no different.

The long silhouette was visible through the crowd exiting the practice room. It slowly approached Eun Chae, who revealed herself last. She nonchalantly replied while looking at the question in his eyes, wondering where she left her viola case.

“Isn’t practice over?”

After saying that, Eun Chae walked aimlessly. The sound of the man’s footsteps followed behind her.

A few minutes of silent walking.

Soon, they arrived at the campus snack shop. Eun Chae chose a small cup of ramen and triangleshaped rice wrapped in seaweed. She momentarily contemplated whether to buy two items as she had two mouths, but feeling slightly embarrassed, she remained silent.

My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband

This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.

The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.

They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.

In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.

When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.

She makes his life a living hell.

And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.

Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!

Intro

Dong Xia lost her memory.

Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”

Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.

…

The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.

She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.

Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.

No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!

Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂

*

Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.

The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.

In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.

The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.

And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.

Notes:

1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.

2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
