“I love names with a round vowel in them. They give off a round and soft image,” the voice of the girl, who used to chatter thus, seemed to echo in her mind.
She then remembered how the girl quickly added something after saying this, perhaps pricked by her conscience.
“Of course, my personality is a bit off, but that’s how I would like it.”
Afterwards, she also mumbled and grumbled about something. And then, she had let out a guffaw as if realizing the contradictions in her own words.
Ki Joo quickly closed the pamphlet. With that, the sound of her voice and her laughter ceased abruptly.
Instead, the real Song Eun Chae appeared. She was walking in a line with a few of her friends. Even though her occasional laughter was the only noticeable thing from the far right end, she somehow managed to draw attention.
“It was fun at the ski resort last time. Since we don’t have much time to travel far, what about a club tonight? We have been listening to too much classical music lately.”
The suggestion was met with diverse opinions. Eun Chae, who had been listening quietly, agreed, stating that she found the ski resort quite enjoyable and that the idea of the club sounded good.
Ki Joo pocketed the pamphlet into the jacket’s inner pocket, leaned back, and waited. As their eyes met, Eun Chae looked at him with an expression that suggested she found the situation tedious.
As the distance between them shortened, Ki Joo spoke up in a soft voice.

“You need to leave now if you want to arrive on time for the evening schedule.”
Upon hearing this, her friends began to murmur.
“Do you have a prior engagement, sis?”
With a tired face, Eun Chae retorted.
“I suppose so. I must have forgotten. I guess you guys will have to go without me today.”
Even afterwards, she said a few more words to appease her disappointed friends. Ki Joo stood back and observed the situation.
Only after the situation was resolved did Eun Chae turn back to look at him. Her face, devoid of a smile, was calm.
“Did the president call you?”
As if an evening schedule, unknown to the concerned party, would exist. Instead of extending his explanation, Ki Joo condensed it.
“No.”

Her face turned stiff.
“I wanted to go out. What is this?”
“You seemed to dislike clubs.”
“No, I don’t. I am a night owl.”
“Is that something to boast about?”
Eun Chae bit her lower lip, asking for clarity. She then quickly turned her body to follow her friends.
“Your friends are already gone. Where will you go?”
She walked straight ahead, not paying any heed to his words. The swaying of her long hair felt as if it was tearing him from inside. The innocent actions of a woman were making his mind dizzy. Ki Joo wiped his face with his hand.
He felt Eun Chae turn back to look at him suddenly. In that moment, their eyes met, hers warning him that following her wouldn’t end well.
No matter how plausible the reason, it was all just an excuse to return. The fact that he hadn’t planned on being swayed by her was also a lie.

He knew that the moment they met again, she would only be interested in getting her way, didn’t he?
Ki Joo stood still, ridiculing himself for being such a devil.
Eventually, he fixed his gaze on the back of Eun Chae’s head, who had withdrawn her gaze. He followed behind her, listening to the clicking sound of her flat shoes.
((())) ((())) ((()))
It was unbelievable.
With a face full of disbelief, Eun Chae stared at Ki Joo sitting across from her. They were in a cheap bar near the university, which even he had only visited a few times as a freshman. He had shamelessly followed her inside.
Eun Chae couldn’t comprehend him sitting there with his imposing lower body crammed onto a cheap iron chair, which was more intimidating than any weapon.
With a wooden bowl, half filled with popped macaroni, and two glasses of 500ml draft beer with ice flakes floating on top, it was so mismatched that it was laughable.
It was a lost game.
With a face showing halfresignation, Eun Chae picked up her glass of beer. As she brought her lips to the brimming glass of frothy beer without hesitation, he lifted his gaze.

As their eyes met, a rush of emotions surged in her – whether it was stubbornness or audacity, she couldn’t quite define it. However, without averting her gaze, she swallowed her beer.
Kwon Ki Joo was watching her intently. Whether it was because of the somewhat dim lighting of the bar, or the effects of the few sips of alcohol he had just taken, he wasn’t sure. However, the movement of his slowly rising eyelids was captivating.
In the meantime, her throat was over its limit. Eun Chae clenched her eyes and forcefully placed her halfempty beer glass on the table. She then opened her mouth as she wiped the froth that had smeared around her lips with the back of her hand.
“Can I ask you something?”
As if giving permission, Ki Joo raised an eyebrow. His hands mindlessly fiddled with a ring on his thigh. It looked like an external expression of attentive listening, but he looked arrogantly unaware.
Eun Chae spoke while slipping macaroni puffs one by one onto her five fingers.
“Do you, Mr. Kwon Ki Joo, have no pride?”
He seemed to have heard some funny nonsense as the sound of a small chuckle could be heard.
She had always been curious about it. She had negative feelings toward him, so she was messing around talking about second chances.
Kwon Ki Joo was……

If she had to think about it, was it regret? Or guilt?
Eun Chae put the snack she had stuck on her thumb into her mouth and crunched loudly as she continued her question.
“Ah, or is your face just thick.”
“……”
Eun Chae sneakily glanced at him. There was no particular reaction from him. She stared at him, matching his silence with her silence.
Ki Joo carelessly stretched out his body, looking as if he was measuring something.
Eun Chae unconsciously swallowed her dry spit. His unusually clear eyes were strangely moist in the bar lighting.
It made her expect something. She couldn’t distinguish what specifically she was expecting. Was it the tense atmosphere loosened by the university bar?
Eun Chae was regretting coming here, when he opened his mouth.
“Are you curious about that?”

Ki Joo asked back while brushing off dust that wasn’t even on his thigh.
Would he passionately confess his love, or would he get annoyed and tell her to stop. What kind of answer would be more likely to come from his fine lips?
The former, or the latter.
“……The former.”
It was a simple and clear answer that she had no pride, to the point of emptiness. Eun Chae frowned.
“What?”
When she asked with a hollow laugh, Ki Joo bent his upper body and caught a wooden bowl filled with snacks. The wooden bowl weakly drifted in front of him.
Ki Joo ungracefully grabbed a handful of snacks from the bowl and leaned casually against the wall. He then chewed on the snack from his clenched fist.
As Eun Chae stared blankly, he spoke while chewing.
“So what?”

“……”
“What are you going to give me now? You said it was a deal.”
As expected, Kwon Ki Joo was still far from repenting.
Eun Chae threw the remaining snack on her finger into the wooden bowl.

Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
