Partner. Kwon Ki Joo spat out the word and took a step. Without any time to avoid him, he shoved Eun Chae’s shoulder.
When her back hit the bed sheet and she tried to lift her upper body again, he supported himself with his tightly stretched knee between her knees and placed both hands on the bed floor.
“I haven’t done anything yet. I should have done something to receive this.”
As he replied, Eun Chae opened her mouth.
“Even if you know what kind of relationship we have, why can’t Han Seung Yoon do anything?”
“Because he himself is not confident.”
“Then come as Han Seung Yoon. Let me know what kind of person he is, what his past was. That’s what you need to do.”
A relationship that, while impure, only amounts to a transaction.
“Move.”
Eun Chae, who calmly told him so, tried to get up again and raised her shoulder, but was pushed back again and it was all for naught. Furthermore, even her wrist got caught this time.

Ki Joo pressed down the wrist he was able to hold with one hand, and with the other hand, he covered half of his face before lowering it. He, now, did not seem to think of hiding his true nature, he straightened his head, looked down and did not even laugh.
“Because it’s difficult to treat a noble lady like me.”
The lowered hand touched Eun Chae’s collarbone area.
Eun Chae, who flinched, met his indifferent face and trembled her eyelids.
“You should also get permission for such things. Act according to the second.”
Fortunately, Eun Chae, who found stability again in the middle of speaking, did not avoid his eyes, which were staring at her so fiercely, and she patiently endured the tense silence.
“You’re picky.”
He bowed his head.
His black hair tickled under Eun Chae’s chin and a soft sensation touched her neck.
“You’re smart.”

“…..”
“You should use it well.”
After removing his lips that were attached to Eun Chae’s skin, he spoke. Then, he moved his large body back that was immobilizing her.
As his body scent moved away, Eun Chae, rather than trying to get up, relaxed her body. Although her breathing was deep, her chest was rising and falling rapidly, her voice was still calm.
“You should also find out who Han Seung Yoon is meeting right now.”
Ki Joo, who had completely stood up, adjusted his tie.
“Is that a request?”
Soon, Kwon Ki Joo, who had been looking at his watch by lightly twisting his wrist, lowered his arm at a slight angle and winked at her again.
“But, I’m not interested in material things like this.”
“…..”

“You should think carefully about what to give me.”
Kwon Ki Joo, who was stroking a handful of Eun Chae’s disheveled hair on the white sheet with his thumb and index finger, unlike his actions, left the room without lingering.

The DeWone Group, which grew rapidly on a steep curve, was insatiable in its ambitions. There might not be another company where the chairman himself interfered in marketing.
It was clearly different from the time when they were only focused on expanding their size without even refusing unscrupulous methods. Chairman Song had a foxlike side.
Therefore, he thought and practiced company image management that could only be thought of from the strategic planning side. He would crash down together in the next presidential election anyway.
Gwang Il, who was investigating him right next to Chairman Song, didn’t have a single moment of leisure, even while thinking so.
It was a National Intelligence Service secret project that was being carried out more secretly than when investigating spies, and it was his job to stick closely to Chairman Song.
But lately, Kwon Ki Joo has been sticking with Chairman Song a lot.
There was no order, and it wasn’t something I asked him to do. There were longer projects, but it wasn’t a small amount of time over two years.

I wouldn’t think it would apply as a variable in an operation that was so carefully built, but it was a sudden action.
Sa Rang.
The sound of flipping papers drew Gwangil’s attention to Kijoo. Seated in a metal chair, Kijoo was swiftly going through the documents resting on his crossed leg. The documents he was reviewing were tasks personally entrusted by Chairman Song.
Why bother exerting one’s abilities to gain unnecessary trust? He was a man whose thoughts were consistently elusive.
Gwangil approached him, lightly rapping the desk with his balled hand, as if knocking.
“Chairman Song’s trust in you is excessive. What are you thinking?”
“I think it’s important to gain more trust than before because I have resigned and returned. Everything is going as planned.”
Kijoo, who responded without looking up from the documents, tossed the finished papers on the desk and looked at Gwangil.
“What about the fact that Song Eunchae’s marriage was brought forward?”
“There’s nothing we can do.”

Chairman Song’s corruption, entangled with Han Seungyoon’s household. Of course, meddling in politics was always a very cautious affair, but this case had the potential to impact the presidential election. Therefore, the end of this project was timed with the next election.
Eunchae’s personal life was inevitable, given the marriage was brought forward and she married Han Seungyoon without delay.
It was difficult to nullify the marriage once the marriage report was filed. A strategic marriage and proving Chairman Song’s coercion could be advantageous in a nullity lawsuit, but bringing the wedding forward was her own decision.
“If Chairman Song collapses because of this, wouldn’t the government help with Song Eunchae’s assets? That part should be fine.”
Eunchae’s mother was a daughter of one of the wealthiest families in Korea. The family was so prominent that the place where her ancestors lived was designated a national treasure. She inherited all the property owned by her parents, and the inheritance tax was staggering.
Who would have known that she would be coaxed by a nobody in the construction industry, leading to her wealth being swallowed up?
She was congenitally weak, and died a few years after remarrying Chairman Song. Of course, the property set aside for Song Eunchae could not be touched, but originally it all belonged to Song Eunchae.
Externally, he appeared as a romantic who wouldn’t remarry, adoring his bloodrelated daughter, but it was all a lie.
He didn’t remarry, but he had dozens of affairs with various women from lowend joints, entertainers, company employees, personal stylists, all kinds of occupations. After her mother died, Song Eunchae lived as Chairman Song’s puppet.
Gwangil also found this regrettable, and perhaps Kwon Kijoo, who was marking it right next to him, sympathized with her.

Kwon Kijoo, who quickly decides that he can’t help but harm innocent people for his purposes and won’t shy away from any dirty work, only for Song Eunchae?
However, Gwangil, looking at Kijoo, who asked a question and immediately lost interest, did not judge hastily.
“Chairman Song has called for you. Even so, get involved moderately.”
Without responding to Gwangil’s caution, Kijoo headed towards Chairman Song.
When male lead is the homewrecker
“I know she doesn’t love him.”
I’ve read the novel below twice already. Girls, I’m highly recommending it to you!
The female lead? Not a good person.
The second male lead? Not a good person.
The male lead? Willingly plays the third party, breaking up the female and second male lead’s relationship despite all the warnings from his friends—so yeah, he’s definitely not a good person either.
Basically, nobody in this novel is simple-minded or without scheming.
The female lead starts off as the male lead’s secretary, but don’t worry—later on, she takes over the company while the male lead steps back to support her. He won’t steal her spotlight, overshadow her, or dull her shine.
I love novels where men are out here snatching wigs, tearing each other down, and going to war just to win the female lead’s affection. And this is exactly that kind of novel. Most of Hai Dai Ran’s works have this dynamic. You’ll see the male characters’ emotions being pushed to the absolute extreme.
There’s even a scene where the second male lead exposes the male lead online for being a homewrecker. The brotherhood immediately gangs up on him, dragging him through the mud. I find it compelling —it completely flips reality on its head, where usually, women are the ones fighting over a man and getting torn apart by the sisterhood.
For me, female leads in the novels I read should only struggle in their careers, not in love. But if the brainless romantics in the story are all men? I have zero complaints.
I’ve pretty much read all of Hai Dai Ran’s novels and even translated all of them—her works are just my thing. I’ll slowly upload everything here. One day, when my website is official, I hope I can invite her to join as one of the star authors.
Here’s the story synopsis:
