When The Silver Bell Of Charlotte's Pharmacy Rings (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 64
Before Charlotte’s cry had even faded, a sharp scream from one of the squad members near the pit rang out.
“Aaagh, aah—!”
“Hiiik…!”
The squad members dropped their lanterns and scrambled backward, tangling into each other.
One of them stumbled while retreating and tumbled backward, rolling over two or three times.
Charlotte, witnessing the scene instantly descend into chaos, snapped back to her senses and immediately pulled out her amulet. There was no more time to swing the pendulum.
“Get back!”
Charlotte shouted a single fierce command and pressed the amulet against Anzo Hedges’ forehead. A sizzling sound rose with smoke as his flesh burned.
Anzo released the squad member he’d been gripping and screamed, but the man collapsed limply into the coffin, having been greedily drained of blood.
“Graaah…! Ah, ugh…!”
“Bring a stake!”
Charlotte shouted, glancing around outside the pit. But no matter how long she waited, no one came.
“Damn it, bring the stake!”
Just as Charlotte yelled again, Anzo Hedges grinned broadly and grabbed both of her wrists tightly.
A chill ran through her entire body, as if she’d been thrown naked onto thick ice.

Male lead is a Love-Obsessed Merman
When he discovers she has gone, he risks everything to pursue her on land, enduring agonizing pain to transform his tail into human legs…

One-line summary: Male lead chases female lead. The male lead’s love is a bit sick, an invincible love brain.
Synopsis
During a voyage at sea, Jiang Yang accidentally captures a merman.
Servant: I heard that mermen are fierce and brutal.
Jiang Yang looks at the merman obediently rubbing her palm like a puppy: “You call this fierce and brutal?”
Servant: I heard that mermen have no human nature.
Jiang Yang looks at the merman with wet puppy eyes, obsessively calling her ‘A Yang’ like a childish infant: “You call this having no human nature?”
With great difficulty, she releases the merman back into the sea and returns to shore.
Who would have thought that in less than half a month, the merman, who should have been freely wandering in the South China Sea, would shed his scales, endure the pain of losing his tail, transform into human legs, and come ashore to find her?
He kneels at her feet, rubbing her palm, with merman tears rolling down: “A Yang, don’t abandon me.”

A soft smile appeared on Adonion’s lips.
There is something suspicious about this guy. Maybe because of the way the light glinted off his monocle, just like in an anime…something is off with him

I’m on Tar Mi’s side here. The Duke seems a bit too careless about his relationship with Charlotte. Feelings or no, it’s as if he hasn’t given any thought to the consequences any of his actions will have on her and her life. I’d say any feelings he has are superficial at best.

Sorry but, what the hell is wrong with this woman? She’s beyond childish & spoiled. Does she have no self outside a desire for the Duke? She really makes no sense. The way others cater to her makes even less sense. The duke is supposed to marry her simply because it’s what Edesa wants? Since when did she out rank him? This mess has no logic to it.

To be honest, Tae Mi is my favorite character in this novel.
Wow that’s grotesque. I didn’t think this novel was going to be so gorey
