When The Silver Bell Of Charlotte's Pharmacy Rings (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 124
Lina James’s face turned a dark, murky purple. How could it not? Charlotte deliberately avoided her horrified gaze, closing and opening her eyes once. Her eyelids and lashes trembled faintly.
“Then….”
Lina, who had only been moving her lips soundlessly, looked back and forth between Charlotte and Matiel. She wore an expression like that of a child desperately seeking help, and because of it, Charlotte felt even more uneasy.
“What are we supposed to do? What on earth does this mean? Father is building such a horrifying machine—should we smash it immediately? Huh? Would that fix everything?”
“The important thing isn’t that, Miss Lina. Even if we destroy the machine now, Mr. Dolpher will just start building another one. The real problem is that Mr. Dolpher himself doesn’t even know what he’s making. Do you understand? Crest Morren’s curse compels Mr. Dolpher to unconsciously build unimaginably wicked machines for him—similar to sleepwalking.”
“You mean that thing where people walk around in their sleep?”
Charlotte nodded.
“Exactly. But he’s performing tasks far more complex than merely walking around.”
“Then… if we break the curse? Will Father return to his right mind?”
When Lina pressed urgently, Charlotte hesitated briefly before parting her lips. Then, gazing silently at Lina as if deep in thought, she finally spoke.
“Yes. If the curse isn’t broken, Mr. Dolpher will inevitably complete that machine and empower Crest Morren. But if we lift the curse, at the very least, Mr. Dolpher will no longer be his pawn.”
“Then we must break it quickly! Right?”
Matiel realized Charlotte was holding back something more. The fact that she struggled so hard to speak plainly meant the issue was serious indeed.
He gently placed a hand on Charlotte’s shoulder. Charlotte slowly lifted her eyes from Matiel’s fingertips and the back of his hand to meet his gaze. Carefully, deliberately. His concern, his encouragement, and the quiet promise that he stood behind her flowed into her like a gentle current.
“Just say something already!”

The Villainous Demon Lord Laid an Egg for Her (Female-Dominated)
Several months after transmigrating into a book, Yu Wu found herself facing the demon lord Li You, who could no longer conceal his dragon horns. With one hand on her aching waist and the other gripping a sharp sword, she stared at him.
The demon lord’s eyes were red with fury:
“This is all your doing! Today, I won’t rest until I kill you!”
Yu Wu rubbed her temples. Putting aside the taboo against bloodshed during pregnancy, wasn’t it this very man who willingly walked into her trap that day?!
Warnings:

Why would a vampire waste all that nourishing blood? Probably the crown prince taking out an annoyance and blaming it on a known culprit of murder.

Matiel was somewhat reluctant, but ultimately agreed to spend the night at Willa
Matiel is behaving childishly regarding Willa & her ‘using tricks’ to survive. Staring away from his host and refusing to engage in conversation? That’s ridiculous behavior.
