Enrico, now standing right before Emilia, twisted the corner of his mouth and gestured toward the carriage with his eyes.
“Well then. If you’d just tell me first what our nephew here was about to say, I could judge whether it’s strange or not.”
“I don’t understand why I should have to tell that to you, Uncle. Unfortunately, I only promised to tell Emilia.”
“That may be true. But for now, please take a look at this first.”
Immediately, a loud commotion erupted from the carriage. Hearing sounds of resistance, Emilia’s gaze also turned that way—and her jaw dropped at the utterly unexpected figure she saw.
