That afternoon. Returning to the annex as usual, Eun Jae came out of the bathroom after showering first, just like always, now wrapped in a robe.

Changing into pajamas she’d previously placed in the powder room, Eun Jae gradually slowed, then finally stopped, drying her damp hair with a towel.

“What do you want to do?”

“Anything.”

“What? I thought you’d planned a date itinerary, since you said you wanted to hang out.”

“I didn’t think about it. With you, anything sounds good.”

How could every single thing he says be the perfect answer? Did he take a class somewhere?

Still grinning from the shower, and apparently still amused, Eun Jae smiled faintly at herself in the mirror.

“Oh, Seon Woo must be waiting.”

She couldn’t afford to dawdle any longer—not when he always thoughtfully let her shower first, which she deeply appreciated.

Deciding to hurry out, Eun Jae twisted her still-damp hair up with the towel and stepped into the bedroom.

“Seon Woo, I’m done showering—”

Expecting him to be waiting, she’d rushed out with her hair only half-dried—but he wasn’t in the bedroom.

“Maybe he’s in the living room.”

Calling his name softly, Eun Jae walked into the living room. As soon as she stepped out, she spotted Seon Woo’s feet poking out from beyond the sofa.
