Narim had an early dinner and sat alone in the lounge, reminiscing about a few days ago.
On that day, she received a wedding invitation from a close friend. So, she felt a bit excited. She drank more wine than usual.
While walking through the neighborhood with a clear mind, she unexpectedly found a man inside a street vendor’s cart, tilting a glass. It felt vaguely familiar, not exactly recognized but more like she instantly knew him—Yoon Taegyu.
Without much thought, she moved her steps towards the street vendor. It wasn’t the first time she had seen him in this neighborhood. Every time they crossed paths, she didn’t greet him because she was not alone.
This time, the thought crossed her mind about what to do if he wasn’t alone. However, contrary to her thoughts, her steps were already heading towards him.
As she slowly entered the street vendor, seeing Taegyu sitting alone at the table made her burst into laughter unintentionally.
“Professor Yoon?”
“Hmm?”
“How come you’re here too? Professor Yoon in this neighborhood—”
“It’s Jieunjae.”

The welcoming feeling faded momentarily as another woman’s name came out of his mouth.
“Hey, Jieunjae.”
“I’m not Jieunjae.”
“Why not me?”
“…….”
“You should give me a chance too.”
The gaze he directed at her, his affectionate touch holding her wrist, and the tender way he called her name—all of it hinted at one thing.
A broken relationship.
“It seems like you’re drunk. Can you get up? Hold onto my shoulder for now, Professor Yoon.”
Somehow, she managed to bring him out, but there was nowhere to go. Only 5 minutes away from her house, she regretted why she was doing this. Why did she bring him out, and what was she thinking? She only regretted it now.

Taegyu’s phone was locked, and the best option as Narim was to contact Professor Yoon. His phone number could be obtained by calling the hospital for an emergency contact.
However, Narim couldn’t bring herself to make the call. Though it was a fact known to only a few, she was aware that Professor Yoon and Taegyu weren’t on good terms.
Narim alternated between glancing at Taegyu and the hotel sign.
“It’s me. Professor Yoon really likes you, but don’t misunderstand; I don’t have any intention of gaining his heart this way.”
With no other choice, she brought him into the hotel. Although he staggered, he was able to walk by himself. If not, she might have left him lying on the street.
Inside the elevator, he pulled his tie straight and slowly unbuttoned his shirt, revealing his inner self. Narim’s face turned red as Taegyu’s bare self was gradually exposed.
As soon as they arrived at the hotel, she laid him on the bed, and Narim, feeling powerless, collapsed onto the bed as well.
“Ah, it’s hard.”
The ceiling spun around. Suddenly, the exertion of energy made her feel dizzy. Her head became hazy and disoriented.
Narim struggled to get up, her exhausted body feeling like a ton of bricks. She fixed her disheveled hair and outfit, adjusting her handbag.
In the meantime, Taegyu, who had swiftly removed his shirt soaked in sweat, was exhaling hot breath. Narim, who momentarily held her head, smiled.

“Phew, the smell of alcohol. Just sleep here.”
At that moment, a hand reached out and pulled Narim, embracing her as she was drawn into his arms.
“Don’t go.”
“……. ”
“Stay here with me.”
Even though I knew he wasn’t talking to me, it felt good. His heartbeat sounded too close. The rhythmic, pounding sound of his heart was almost like a lullaby.
Thinking I’d stay just a little longer and then leave, I unexpectedly fell asleep. Due to both of us collapsing, the hotel room, where the air conditioning had turned off, was extremely hot.
Upon waking up, Narim sighed at the scattered pieces of clothing strewn across the floor. What made her more upset than that was the empty space beside her. Sweeping the white sheet aside, Narim forced a bitter smile.
However, maybe I should consider this fortunate.
When I go to work, how should I look at him, how should I treat him, what should I say—those concerns were all erased in an instant.

Taegyu seemed to have no recollection.
A strange mix of relief and disappointment washed over me.
He was known as an impenetrable man in the hospital. I heard a story last year about a nurse confessing to him, getting rejected, and quitting.
Even though I often saw him with different women when we crossed paths in the neighborhood, whether it was because he didn’t date hospital staff or because he managed to keep it a secret, his personal life within the hospital was very clean.
Even on the day I purposely left the tablet in the emergency room, thinking he would come to the station to return it. His impenetrable wall seemed to apply to me as well; the rumors didn’t seem baseless.
He seems to have no memory of that day.
A strange emotion came over me. Relief and disappointment somewhere in between.
My Arch-enemy Sealed My Memory and Said That He is My Husband
This is an incredibly captivating story that you absolutely shouldn’t miss! I’ll give a brief introduction here, and below you’ll find a detailed synopsis of the plot.
The female lead is a fierce and powerful demon king. The male lead is a once-in-a-millennium celestial lord, admired by the entire cultivation world.
They are equally matched, legendary rivals who have battled for centuries.
In the final duel, the female lead is gravely injured. The male lead saves her, seals her memories, and hides her true identity. He tells her that he is her fiancé. His entire life has been flawless—except for the one thing he never expected, never controlled, and never wanted to control: falling for his greatest enemy. She is his inner demon, his obsession.
When the female lead regains her memories, she is furious at his deception.
She makes his life a living hell.
And somehow, the male lead—possibly a total masochist—doesn’t mind at all. In fact, he’s happy she’s paying attention to him.
Yep, we’re back to my favorite trope: male lead suffering. If you love this kind of story, jump into the pit with me now!!!
Intro
Dong Xia lost her memory.
Her handsome and extremely powerful fiancé Li Qing comforted her: “It’s okay if you can’t remember. I’ll always be with you.”
Everyone thought Dong Xia’s ancestors must have burned incense to get such a perfect fiancé. He was the number one person in the immortal realm, yet he remained chaste and only loved her.
…
The day before marrying her fiancé, Dong Xia finally remembered everything.
She wasn’t suffering from memory loss at all.
Her arch-enemy had made her fake her death, destroyed her cultivation, replaced her memories, and pretended to be her deeply in love fiancé.
No wonder he said, “It’s okay if you can’t remember”!
Dong Xia laughed coldly as she pulled out her long knife: Li Qing, prepare to die 🙂
*
Li Qing, as the supreme being of the immortal realm, was the people’s shining beacon.
The only unknown stain in his life was his affection for Dong Xia, the ruler of the demon realm.
In the final battle of the war between immortals and demons, the sky collapsed and the earth shattered. The ruler of the demon realm was finally slain under the sword of the supreme being of the immortal realm, and everyone in the immortal realm applauded.
The cultivation world lost a ruler of the demon realm.
And in the back mountain of Li Qing’s cave dwelling, he secretly hid away a fiancée.
Notes:
1. The female lead is white on the outside, black on the inside, and the queen of flattery; the male lead repeatedly tests the edge of darkness, a VIP guest at the crematorium.
2. Fantasy cultivation world setting.
