He was on his way up the stairs, rubbing his eyes after finishing an urgent call, when the tablet he was holding slipped from his grasp and clattered to the floor. Startled by the noise, he snapped his eyes open.
Quickly picking up the tablet to check its condition, he found it was fine except for a small scratch on the case, and he let out a sigh of relief.
It was only a few seconds, but he couldn’t help laughing at the fact that he had almost fallen asleep while climbing the hospital stairs.
3 AM. It was the hour when tiredness peaked. He thought he had gotten used to it, but apparently not.
Or maybe,
“The alcohol hasn’t worn off yet?”
Dragging his feet as if they were weighed down by sandbags, he stopped in front of the fourth-floor station.
―CS Thoracic Surgery
Above the station, Tae-gyu glanced at the sign that seemed particularly distant today and clicked his tongue.
“This is CS’s, right?”

A woman who had been hidden behind the tall station suddenly appeared and reached out her hand. With a bright smile, Narim took the tablet from him.
“Ah, there it was. Thank you for the trouble.”
“It’s on my way, anyway.”
Their eyes met as Narim smiled, and a sudden memory flashed through Tae-gyu’s mind, reigniting a headache that had been quiet.
“Hey, Ji Eun Jae.”
“I’m not Ji Eun Jae.”
“Why can’t I?”
What is this voice? It sounds familiar.
The face flickering before his eyes seems like Ji Eun Jae’s, but the owner of the voice doesn’t seem to be Eun Jae.
Is this a dream? What’s this? Ah, my head…

Tae-gyu closed his eyes tightly and pressed the throbbing temples with his index and middle fingers.
“You should give me a chance too.”
“You seem drunk. Can you stand? Hold onto my shoulder for now, Mr. Yoon.”
Mr. Yoon? Caught off guard by the unexpected term, Tae-gyu furrowed his brow and his eyes flew open.
“Damn it.”
He cursed under his breath as his gaze inadvertently met Narim’s, who was seated at the station. He expected her to look away quickly, but her persistent gaze only narrowed his brow in annoyance.
“Why are you looking at me like that?”
“Weren’t you the one who looked first?”
Narim narrowed her brow just like him, as if returning the look he gave her.
“You always do that, stare and then deny it.”

“When have I ever done that?”
“You did last time, and the time before that.”
Unable to find anything to argue with, Tae-gyu closed his mouth tightly. Now that he thought about it, it seemed true. Twice recently.
Narim chuckled, unable to hold back any longer as she watched Tae-gyu avoid her gaze while scratching his nape. With a voice tinged with laughter, she said,
“Have this, you still seem a bit out of it from the alcohol.”
As she placed a brown bottle on the station counter, Narim raised her eyebrows suggestively.
“It’s not the alcohol; I’m just tired. You nurses drink a lot—I, no matter how much I drink, never come in late.”
“Isn’t this a hangover remedy?”
Tae-gyu looked at the label again after hearing Narim’s words. As she said, it wasn’t a hangover cure but a vitamin drink.
Embarrassed, or perhaps unwilling to reach out, Tae-gyu watched Narim open the drink and hand it to him with a smile.
Pretending to give in, Tae-gyu gulped down the vitamin drink then and there. As soon as the empty bottle hit the station counter, Narim asked,

“What’s your tolerance like, Mr. Yoon?”
“Why do you ask all of a sudden?”
“Just curious. How much can you drink before you blackout?”
“I’ve never had a blackout. I talk a lot when I drink.”
“Really? It didn’t seem like that.”
A subtle smile spread across Narim’s lips. Tae-gyu found her expression disagreeable.
“What do you usually do on your off days?”
“On my off days… Ah, I almost answered, what are you doing?”
“Just curious, I was just asking.”
Narim stood up from the station. Her brown hair, previously tied in one, cascaded down to her waist with a heavy wave as she let it loose.

“I have to go. I was on the eve shift today.”
“Eve? But it’s 3 AM now?”
“Waiting for someone.”
“Who?”
Narim waved the tablet in front of Tae-gyu. It was the item that Tae-gyu had brought up earlier.
“I thought you would come up to return it.”
Tae-gyu’s face showed his surprise at Narim’s words.
“Um, nurse…”
“It’s Narim Lee. I’m off work now, so please call me by my name.”
“Alright, Narim Lee. I know this may sound bad…”

Tae-gyu leaned against the station, closing the distance between him and Narim.
“Do you like me?”
“Maybe.”
“All of a sudden?”
“It’s probably not sudden. You knew; you just don’t remember.”
It wasn’t surprising. It had happened last year during the internship training, and there was probably one this year too.
“Me, I somehow don’t get interested in people who say they like me.”
Tae-gyu scratched his brow for a while as if troubled, then took a quick glance at Narim. She did seem different than usual. Before, she would have been just one of the many nurses, and now, one of those who annoyed him.
“Don’t like me. I’m not someone who can seriously be with anyone.”
Male lead is a Destined Young Husband (Female-dominant)
One-sentence summary: Wife-master, listen to my explanation!
Li Ruantang, a young lady from a prestigious family, stumbled and fell. When she woke up, she saw a noble and beautiful young man sitting by her bedside, wiping away tears.
The young master had slightly reddened eyes, and his every move exuded charm.
The sight made Li Ruantang’s eyes hot and her heart flutter. After all, she had made a bet with the young master Meng from the neighboring family. If she couldn’t marry a husband before the end of the year, she would have to admit defeat and give up the jade she had worked so hard to obtain.
Outside the window, the flowers were in full bloom.
Rather than losing the bet, the jade, and her face, Li Ruantang calculated that it would be better to seek marriage with the young master in front of her, killing three birds with one stone.
…
Meng Jun never thought that an accident during a spring outing would lead to them rolling down a cliff and into a river, yet still survive.
Now they were trapped in an unknown village, and Meng Jun had overheard that the family who had rescued them had their own intentions.
After all, it was Li Ruantang who had lost her mind and sought marriage first. He was only trying to protect himself!
Glancing at Li Ruantang, who was listing her own merits, the young husband’s voice softened, and he blushed as he lied, “W-wife-master, Wife-master, don’t you remember me?”
The young husband’s voice was clear and handsome, coaxing Li Ruantang’s heart to be soft and sweet, and she spared no effort to protect him.
It wasn’t until they returned to the capital that Li Ruantang suddenly remembered.
When they had fallen off the cliff, in order not to implicate Wei Yunruo, whom he secretly admired, the young husband had instead pulled her, who was slightly farther away, down the cliff with him…
Short summary by Yuushi L: Initially, the male lead (ML) liked another girl, while the female lead (FL) liked the ML. Both fell off a cliff. The FL temporarily lost her memory, and the ML, fearing others might take advantage of him, claimed FL was his wife while they were staying in a village.
