Sun Woo’s car came to a smooth stop in front of the annex. Eun Jung, who had come out to greet them in advance, welcomed the two with waving hands even before the car door opened.
“Hello.”
“Welcome, Eun Jae. You must have had a tough journey. Let’s go in.”
Eun Jung took Eun Jae into the annex first. Sun Woo followed behind Eun Jung, gently rolling two large suitcases he had taken out of the trunk.
She had only been in the main house during her last visit, so it was her first time in the annex. Upon entering the annex entrance, there was a grand chandelier twinkling majestically high above the tall ceiling.
As she momentarily admired it, she felt a gentle hand press on her shoulder and Eun Jae turned around. Upon eye contact, Sun Woo, who had been looking down at Eun Jae, gave a refreshing smile.
With eyes that were filled solely with her, deep and dark.
“Sit down, I’ll bring the luggage upstairs.”
“Let’s go together.”
“It’s okay, I’ll be back soon.”
Eun Jae answered with a nod, and after seating her on the sofa, Sun Woo headed towards the stairs with the suitcases. Watching him together, Eun Jung helped Eun Jae up by holding her hand and asked,
“Eun Jae, it’s still before dinner, isn’t it?”
“Ah… I’m okay, but I’m not sure about Mr. Sun Woo.”
Eun Jung led Eun Jae, who she had held hands with and gave a sly smile, towards the dining room. She stroked Eun Jae’s wrist, which was thin as if it might break, and spoke.
“Sung San’s wife prepared a lot of delicious food because you guys are coming. Even if you’re full, try some. Okay?”
“Yes, thank you.”
“Can you wait here for a bit? I’ll be right back.”
“Yes, understood.”
Everything would be strange and uncomfortable as it was her first time. I felt the same when I first came into this house. The one who perhaps understood Eun Jae’s feelings the most was Eun Jung. She gently comforted Eun Jae by patting her back.
“Sung San’s wife, please prepare the dinner.”
“Yes, madam.”
Eun Jung seated Eun Jae in the dining room and strode up the stairs where Sun Woo had disappeared.
Following closely behind Sun Woo heading to the third floor, Eun Jung cast a glance at the firstfloor dining room where Eun Jae was sitting, and whispered to Sun Woo.

“What to do if you suddenly call in the morning saying you will come? That too, on the same day.”
“It turned out that way.”
“It’s good you called in the morning. I had prepared a lot, but there might still be things missing.”
“I brought all the luggage, so what to do now.”
Sun Woo, who arrived at the third floor first, gently pushed the suitcase into the small living room.
“But why are you in such a hurry all of a sudden? Living together, Eun Jae might feel uncomfortable.”
Nothing has changed here. Lost in thought for a moment, Sun Woo answered while scanning the small living room with a twoseater sofa and a carpet.
“There isn’t much difference whether we move in now or later.”
At Sun Woo’s reply, Eun Jung recalled the first time she heard about the marriage.
Sun Woo’s attitude that day was hard to understand. Even if they were madly in love with each other, the hurry was notably visible.
If the reason was the hospital, when she suggested not to do it, Sun Woo openly revealed his feelings about the hospital along with the words of a necessary marriage.
As if he could do it even if it meant marriage for the hospital.
She had known about his ambition for the hospital from before, but she felt as if he was focusing more on the hospital than the marriage, as if he was marrying to acquire the hospital.
The words surely interpreted that way, but it was different when he began to talk about Eun Jae, not the marriage.
A faint smile was definitely lurking at the corners of Sun Woo’s mouth. It seemed like a smile that unknowingly crept out.
It was like the smile of a bud about to bloom, carrying the most beautiful pink hue in the world.

That’s why it felt ironic. It was confusing as to what was the real intention of Sun Woo.
Was it a marriage to acquire the hospital, or a marriage to acquire Eun Jae?
“Have you discussed it? Is Eun Jae okay with it?”
Knowing that Sun Woo wouldn’t be that kind of person, she was worried that he might have lost his composure because of the hospital.
Should I try to dissuade him, even if it’s an insincere objection, to get involved, then maybe Sun Woo might make a more accurate judgment.
She thought about trying that. However, she realized that the smile Sun Woo showed toward Eun Jae on the day he came to greet wasn’t false.
“I came here on my way back from registering our marriage in the morning.”
Like now, probably thinking of Eun Jae and smiling, to anyone’s eyes, their gaze was like a blooming flower looking at the sun, aimed at each other.
“What?”
“I told you then that we would register our marriage first.”
Are you sure you’re not out of your mind? To Eun Jung’s worried question, Sun Woo just smiled.
Sun Woo walked toward the wornout sofa. Eun Jung followed Sun Woo’s back slowly.
“Our Ms. Song is too far ahead. Are you worried that you’ll start hearing grandma sounds soon?”

After waking up from a night of unconsciousness, she gained a “beautiful and kind-hearted” husband.
Xin Jiao Zhou: “???”
He fell ill.
She came to see him, bringing breakfast.
As she put down the breakfast and was about to leave, his hand slipped while holding the spoon. “Clank!”
She turned around upon hearing the noise.
He looked up at her, his eyebrows drooping: “My hand… has no strength.”
“Shall I… feed you?” she asked tentatively.
He opened his mouth cheerfully: “Ah—”
Thinking she was drowning, he jumped in without hesitation to save her, but nearly drowned himself. In the end, it was she who swam over to rescue him, giving him air underwater.
After emerging from the water, his ear tips turned red. He lightly brushed his cheek, tucking his sideburns behind his ear, revealing delicate, pink-tinged ear tips. He lowered his gaze, too embarrassed to look at her.
