“No. I’m not going today either. I’ll stay with Mommy.”

Cain made a fuss again today, refusing to leave Liz’s side.

“Cain Alred! If you keep acting like this, Mommy will spank you!”

“But I still won’t go—!”

He remained stubborn even when threatened with a switch.

Even Hersys, who usually let the child have his way, looked troubled by Cain’s repeated tantrums.

“Could he be unwell?”

“I’m not sure…”

They even summoned physicians for an examination, but—

“Your Highness is in excellent health.”

All three physicians said the exact same thing.

If he was perfectly healthy, why had he suddenly regressed to acting like a young child?

At night, he’d snuggle close to his mother’s chest again, and occasionally even pushed away his beloved father.
