When I woke up in the morning, I barely managed to shove my sluggish body into the shower stall and let the water hit me, and it seemed to bring me back to my senses a little.

The message I’d received in the middle of the night was still incomprehensible even after re-reading it in the morning.

Was it saying they saw a crow on the way to Seoul? What on earth was “Eomaheonak”? And what was “Crow Jongryun House”?

As I was shampooing my hair, thinking I should call after the shower, I suddenly heard footsteps shaking the ground like an earthquake.

Though uncharacteristic of Seol Ji Hyun, the commotion caught my attention; as I let the suds wash away under the stream, the bathroom door abruptly swung open, and a familiar low tone—or rather, a guttural cry mixed with that low voice—rang out.

“Mr. Seol Woo Jin!”

Woo Jin jumped in surprise and turned toward the sound.

Although half the shower stall was made of frosted glass, ensuring nothing vital was visible, Woo Jin instinctively covered himself below with both hands neatly clasped together.

Soon after, accompanied by loud thumping against the shower door, a woman’s gleeful voice—utterly shameless—blasted his eardrums.

“Mr. Seol Woo Jin! Mr. Seol Woo Jin! My mom gave us permission! Well, is it even right to call it ‘permission’? Anyway, she said she won’t oppose us anymore! So that counts as permission, right? I wanted to ask her for more details, but her face looked so awful I couldn’t properly question her. Mr. Seol Woo Jin, hurry out! My mom—”

Woo Jin turned off the shower and stepped right up to the front of the stall, still keeping his hands neatly clasped together.

Watching his wet hair and face, the dazzling collarbones and chest lines, Su Young found herself increasingly overwhelmed by an inexplicable surge of excitement.

Just as her hand was about to grab the shower door, Seol Woo Jin spoke in a deep, steady voice.

“Kim Su Young. I get that you’re excited—but I’m in the middle of showering, you know?”

“Oh…”
