Na Eun, who had worked late into the night and just gotten home, dried her wet hair with a towel and turned her computer back on.

As she rubbed her tired eyes and reviewed newly uploaded web novels, Mrs. Kang—Na Eun’s mother—entered carrying a tray with a warm glass of milk.

“Drink this before bed. Don’t just take pills and sleep.”

“Tonight I’m so exhausted I think I can fall asleep right away.”

“Then go to sleep right away—why are you looking at your computer again? You stare at it all day at work, don’t you?”

“It’s not just me. Everyone else at other companies does the same.”

Mrs. Kang sat on the bed, gazing at her daughter with pity in her eyes.

“Have you seen Woo Jin again?”

“No, not yet.”

“Do you still like Woo Jin?”

“Yeah.”

“I really hope you don’t see Woo Jin anymore.”

It was the same refrain Na Eun had been hearing every time she came home lately. Without taking her eyes off the computer screen, she replied indifferently.

“Because he’s blind? You used to like him before, Mom. You said he was handsome and came from a wealthy family.”

Mrs. Kang had nothing to say in response. It was true—she really had felt that way before. As the youngest grandson of Sung Ha Group, there wasn’t a single thing about him—his looks or his intelligence—that she could find fault with.
