Visible Love (Completed Main Story) - Chapter 2
Su Young, who had slept as soundly as if she were at home, struggled to open her heavy eyelids when she felt someone tapping her shoulder. Seeing the person before her, she gasped in shock and sat up abruptly.
Standing right in front of her was that strange man she’d seen at the bookstore.
“Huh!”
“We’ve met before, haven’t we?”
As he grinned and spoke, Su Young frantically glanced around and asked in confusion,
“H-how did I get here? Where is this place?”
Having woken up disoriented, she couldn’t even recall where she’d fallen asleep.
“By any chance, are you here as Jo Young Mi’s replacement?”
“Huh? Ah! Oh right! Hello! My name is Kim Su Young. Jo Young Mi is my aunt—she hurt her back, so I’m filling in for her.”
She bowed hurriedly at a 90-degree angle, and he responded with the same gentle smile he’d shown at the bookstore.
“Yes, I heard. Is Jo Young Mi doing better? I didn’t expect her to send her niece.”
“Oh, I’m only here today—someone else will take over starting tomorrow.”
“Someone else? Who?”
“Huh? Well… I’m not really sure about that…”
His expression suddenly turned serious. Su Young cautiously asked, reading his mood,
“Could it be… that you’re the sensitive landlord I’ve heard about?”
“Huh?”
He pursed his lips as if suppressing a laugh, then barely managed to swallow his chuckle before speaking.
“I’m not the landlord myself, but I am quite close to him.”
Just then, his phone buzzed. He glanced at the screen and, with a slightly stiff expression, pressed the answer button.
“Yeah, got it, got it… I was just listening to someone talk… Sorry, sorry.”
After ending the call, he let out a small sigh and pointed to his phone, whispering,
“That person… is him.”
“Huh?”
“The sensitive landlord.”
Su Young turned toward the room. He wasn’t even at home?
“Yes, he’s definitely the one in that room.”
He continued speaking in the same hushed tone.
“But then why call…?”
“He absolutely hates seeing people face-to-face. Jo Young Mi mentioned she’d never seen the landlord’s face, right?”
That did sound familiar—she’d always spoken of the landlord in vague terms, as if she’d only heard about him indirectly.
“Anyway, let’s go. The sensitive landlord is really angry right now. Your work hours are just from 2 to 4 PM.”
“Oh, but starting tomorrow someone else is—”
“Oh, right, of course.”
Keeping his kind demeanor, he quickly ushered Su Young toward the front door.
“It was nice meeting you. I hope Jo Young Mi recovers quickly.”
“Yes, thank you.”
Without even looking back, he closed the door. Su Young gave an awkward bow and stepped into the elevator.
Glancing at her watch, it read 4:30—she’d stayed a full thirty minutes past her scheduled time. Or rather, she’d slept through it.
Though only two and a half hours had passed, she felt as if an eternity had gone by after waking up. She lightly patted her cheeks while looking at her reflection in the elevator mirror.
It felt as if she’d just returned from another world. Maybe it was because the place had been so spacious, fresh, and quiet—it left her with an oddly pleasant feeling. She suddenly wondered again: who exactly was this landlord?
[This is the timeline separator]“No way—it was a total dream job! There was literally nothing to do…”
Visiting her aunt at the hospital to report on her part-time work, Su Young spoke excitedly. Young Mi smiled at her niece’s enthusiasm and replied,
“Right? But wasn’t there anything to clean on the dining table? Like a lunchbox or something?”
“There wasn’t anything. It looked like the kitchen hadn’t been used at all.”
“Really? That’s weird. Is he not eating properly again…?”
Young Mi said this with a serious expression, prompting Su Young to ask with a puzzled look,
“The landlord doesn’t eat much?”
“Apparently not. That representative guy always asks if there was an empty lunchbox, and if I say no, he gets upset.”
Trending
That strange older man must be the representative.
“He eats lunch from a bento box?”
“Yeah. I’m not sure if it gets delivered or what, but there’s always a black lunchbox in the fridge. I wash it and put it back out, and they pick it up—it’s always there like clockwork.”
“He must be rich. Ordering takeout for every meal would cost a fortune.”
“The landlord seems extremely tidy. There’s absolutely no sign that anyone lives there.”
Su Young nodded in agreement.
“I even thought no one was in the room. It was so quiet. But that representative guy said he’s actually inside—he just never comes out and only talks to him over the phone.”
“Oh, you met that representative? I’ve only ever spoken to him too. Where’s that business card…?”
Young Mi twisted toward the drawer but winced and cried out in pain.
“Auntie, be careful! What are you looking for?”
Su Young stood up from her seat and asked.
“Oh, I just had his business card in my wallet—wanted to show it to you.”
“It’s fine. I don’t need to see it.”
“Did you tell him someone else will come starting tomorrow?”
Young Mi asked, adjusting her sore back.
“Who? The representative? No, I didn’t know—so I told him someone else will come tomorrow instead of me.”
Young Mi’s expression suddenly froze.
“What are you talking about? Weren’t they supposed to find a replacement themselves?”
“Huh? The way they talked made it seem like they expected us to send someone…”
“No, they should be the ones finding a replacement! If they wanted me to find one, then…”
But then again, since she was the one injured, maybe it did make sense for her to arrange her own substitute. Watching Young Mi fall silent, lost in thought, Su Young asked gently,
“What’s wrong, Auntie?”
“Su Young.”
“Yes?”
“From what I can tell, they probably haven’t found anyone yet. Would you mind doing this part-time job for just one more week?”
“What about after that week?”
“I’ll try my best to go back myself after a week.”
Su Young frowned deeply and said,
“How can you possibly go with that back? Didn’t the doctor say you shouldn’t move for at least three weeks?”
“It’s not that physically demanding—I’ll just be careful. If you could just cover for me for a week… Oh, never mind. Your mom would scold me if she found out. Why am I even asking this of someone preparing for job interviews?”
Young Mi waved her hand dismissively, but Su Young’s thoughts immediately turned serious.
She wasn’t getting a job anyway—wouldn’t it be better to do this part-time work in the meantime? Staying glued to the library wasn’t going to magically land her a job.
“Auntie, I’ll just keep doing this part-time job until I get hired.”
Young Mi’s eyes flickered with quiet hope—but then she shook her head again.
“No, you shouldn’t take a housekeeping gig. Your mom would hate it.”
“Then we just won’t tell Mom for now.”
Young Mi let out a dry chuckle.
“Heaven help us if your mom ever finds out.”
Though the idea of secretly doing part-time work felt a bit uneasy, Su Young reasoned that it was only two hours a day—what harm could it do? She persisted in persuading her aunt.
“I’ll just be at the library all day anyway—I can pop out for a quick two-hour shift and come back. It’ll give me a mental break, honestly. And if I take over for you now, you’ll be able to return to the job later, right? Are you really going to give it up? It’d be such a waste.”
Truthfully, her strongest motivation to continue the job was to repay her aunt, who had raised her since childhood.
Now that she was an adult, even if she couldn’t give her aunt spending money, at the very least she ought to be able to help with her work.
And if that was her reason, she was sure her mother would understand—even if she found out later.
“I’ll make sure you don’t get blamed—I’ll handle everything so you can return in style. Just trust me once.”
Su Young grinned confidently, and though Young Mi felt grateful, she was also quietly worried. What if the landlord was a man? Was it really safe to send a young girl to his home?
But then again, in the past six months, the landlord had never once stepped outside his room. He probably didn’t even know who his housekeeper was.
Thinking it over, Young Mi reluctantly nodded.
[This is the timeline separator]The house was just as desolate and impeccably clean as yesterday.
Following Young Mi’s instructions, Su Young first checked the kitchen for anything to clean, then quickly fetched the non-woven mop from the utility room and diligently swept the floor.

The noise-sensitive landlord apparently disliked vacuum cleaners, so she had to use only the non-woven mop.
The few pieces of furniture only needed a quick wipe with a dry cloth.
When she asked about laundry, she was told it was outsourced, so she didn’t need to touch it. Yet they paid her two million won a month for this? Was the landlord a billionaire?
The only slight inconvenience was having to work from 2 to 4 PM even on weekends—but since they paid extra weekend rates, it was fairly reasonable.
After swiftly mopping the spacious floor and giving the furniture a cursory wipe, she still had a full hour left.
Remembering how she’d dozed off on the sofa yesterday, she decided to look around for something else to tidy up.
Judging by the house’s atmosphere, it was clear there was no woman living here.
There wasn’t a single cute or cozy detail. All the furniture was dreary shades of black or gray.
It was obvious no thought had gone into interior design—only the bare essentials occupied their designated spots.
The only unusual feature was one entire room converted into a home gym.
It was fully equipped with a treadmill, pull-up bars, weight machines, and other unidentifiable exercise equipment.
Dumbbells were neatly arranged by weight. Su Young cautiously picked up the lightest one.
If someone cared about their form, they’d need at least one full-length mirror—but there wasn’t any.
Come to think of it, there weren’t even mirrors in the bathroom. She’d realized that yesterday when looking at herself in the elevator mirror.
Did the landlord really live without any mirrors? Or did he keep one only in his bedroom? Surely even he’d need at least one in the bathroom?
Lost in thought, Su Young absentmindedly lifted and lowered the dumbbell, then finally put it down and left the room.
Only thirty minutes remained. With nothing left to do, did she really have to stay until the full time was up?
Her aunt had kindly given her the representative’s number, saying to call him if she had questions—but she didn’t have the courage to ask if she could leave early.
Just as she slung her bag diagonally across her shoulder, planning to leave the moment 4 PM struck, an impulsive thought struck her. She tiptoed toward the bedroom—the one sealed shut like an impenetrable fortress.
Pressing her ear tightly against the door, she strained to catch any sound from inside—but there was complete silence. Was anyone even in there?
She pressed her ear so hard her cheek caved in—
“Ahem!”
Suddenly, a deliberate, clear cough echoed from inside. Su Young jumped in fright, stumbled backward, and landed hard on her tailbone.
Ignoring the pain, she felt as if she’d just been caught eavesdropping—like a child caught stealing— and fled the house as fast as she could.
[This is the timeline separator]The next day, Su Young was watching a TOEIC lecture online in the library’s information reading room when her aunt called. She hurriedly stepped out into the hallway.
As soon as she answered, her aunt’s panicked voice came through.
“Su Young!”
“Auntie? How are you feeling?”
“Su Young, did you touch anything at that house yesterday? Or move something and not put it back?”
“Huh? No… I don’t think so?”
Suddenly, she recalled picking up the dumbbell yesterday—but where had she put it back? She vaguely thought she’d returned it, but wasn’t certain.
“What happened? Is something wrong?”
“That representative called and said the person who cleaned yesterday didn’t return something to its place, and the landlord tripped over it. He also asked who came by.”
“What?! The landlord got hurt—because of me?!”
She’d forgotten she was in a library and blurted out loudly. A passing librarian immediately put a finger to their lips in warning.
“I don’t know for sure.”
“What am I going to do? Am I getting you fired because of me?”
Hearing Su Young’s despairing tone, Young Mi tried to calm her niece.
“No, he didn’t say anything like that. So… you really don’t remember anything?”
“To be honest, I don’t. Auntie. I’ll go there today and apologize.”
“No, they said not to come until my back heals.”
At those words, Su Young’s heart sank. Her attempt to help her aunt had backfired spectacularly—possibly costing her the job.
Tears welled up instantly, and she blinked rapidly to hold them back. Hearing her niece fall silent, Young Mi softened her voice and reassured her,
“He didn’t say you can never come back—just that they’ll handle things for now. Don’t worry about it, Su Young. I just called you because I was flustered. Focus on your job hunt, okay? And thank you for helping me out.”
Hearing her aunt’s words, Su Young didn’t know what to say. She was utterly at a loss for how to fix this.
She returned to her seat in the reading room, but the lecture content simply wouldn’t register in her mind.
After long deliberation, she finally decided: she had to go apologize to the landlord in person.
True to her impulsive nature, she quickly packed up, slung her bag diagonally across her shoulder, and rushed out. Every second counted.
Panting heavily, she reached the front door of the house. She hesitated over whether to enter the password—but since they’d told her not to come, she decided ringing the doorbell properly would be the polite thing to do. She pressed it firmly.

But strangely, no chime sounded. No matter how many times she pressed it, the area remained eerily silent—as if designed to make no noise at all.
“What should I do?”
Pacing nervously in front of the door, biting her nails, Su Young finally swallowed hard and carefully entered the six-digit password.
The door opened soundlessly, and she cautiously stepped inside the house—once again completely devoid of human presence.
Everything was exactly as it had been yesterday: the spacious layout, the dreary yet luxurious furniture precisely in place.
Hoping against hope, she tiptoed into the workout room—and was startled to find all the dumbbells, previously arranged by weight, had vanished.
Convinced it was her fault, Su Young stood there numbly, overcome with despair. What should she do?
She returned to the living room and approached the firmly closed bedroom door, standing silently before it.
She knew she needed to meet the landlord, clarify that it was her fault and not her aunt’s, and apologize—but she couldn’t bring herself to knock.
She raised and lowered her hand several times, then quickly wiped away the tears welling in her eyes with the back of her hand. What should she do?
In the end, unable to knock, she slowly turned to leave—and then noticed something she hadn’t seen yesterday.
On the grand piano beside the floor-to-ceiling window sat a white stick wrapped with a red ribbon. What was that?
As she absently stepped toward the piano, a sharp, melodious voice rang out behind her.
“Don’t touch it.”
Startled, she spun around—and saw the ironclad door had opened. Standing before it was a human embodiment of the character Seol Yong the writer, glaring straight at her.
Male lead is reincarnated to save his wife
I’ve also read this one twice already. The female lead is kinda soft and gets embarrassed easily—not really my type, but the plot is definitely worth reading. Hurry up and read it, y’all!

Intro
When Shen Yuan encountered Su Jin again in his previous life, she had already become the Prime Minister of the current dynasty. As for him, the former top young master of the capital, he had long since fallen into the abyss, becoming a singer on a pleasure boat.
After a song ended, he was redeemed and sent to the Su Residence.
Su Jin respected and cherished him, gave him a roof over his head, and bestowed him with warmth. Shen Yuan fell deeper and deeper, but before he could express his feelings, Su Jin passed away.
Shen Yuan died to follow her in death, but instead, he returned to when he was fifteen years old.
At that time, he was not yet engaged, and Su Jin was just a poor scholar.
Shen Yuan gritted his teeth, casting aside all his pride, and thought of ways to coax and entice her every day.
The colder and more indifferent Su Jin was towards him, the more proactive Shen Yuan became.
He was not afraid of being mocked by the world, only wanting to marry his Wife-master early, to hold her hand and never let go for a lifetime.
[Note: This story will not specifically point out the male lead’s reincarnation time point; it’s all in the details. Whenever you feel that the male lead is acting strangely, he has most likely been reincarnated.]
